LOL… Pruitt is not going to ruin a kid’s potential NFL career and give him a black mark for his life, because he got in a verbal argument with his girlfriend and tore a gate down.

My word people! Look at the facts of what’s being reported and ask is that a proper punishment for what he did. No way! If he actually hit the girl or if he had a gun and was waving it around saying he was going to shoot the school up, then that’s a whole different story.

I think the caveat is the whole school shooting thing. It’s all conjecture at this point but IF that was said then he’s gone. Zero tolerance from the University on that. If that wasn’t said then I agree, he may miss 1-2 games (at most).

We really shouldn't get into the rumors here ... but you living in Irmo selling insurance - I mean everyone down Harbinson knows what he did and it was definitely all of the above.

1 - Bad study habits = behavioral issues (even though he tried harder his senior year and obviously has the ability).
2 - Liked to smoke the ganja = behavioral issues (even though he evidently quit doing that his senior year, which is good).
3 - Troubles with a girl = behavioral issues (even though no charges have been brought and I tend to believe that, unless charges are brought, it's a nothing burger).
We hung with him and tried to help him for a long time. Sometimes it's just better for a kid to get out of town and start a new life with a clean slate somewhere else.
You don't have to look far from Lake Murray Drive to Harbinson to St Andrews Road for someone to fill you in on every little detail about this kid's behavioral issues ... but I'll tell you what, he may have been the best football player in this state last season. He's that good. He's just got some ... behavioral issues

Girl troubles is a wide, wide field of possibilities, but it could be as benign as a bad breakup or not talking to girls in a respectful manner. While there's rampant speculation regarding what's going to happen to Thompson, we don't know.

From the standpoint of the domestic assault misdemeanor, I think that will ultimately be dropped. I will be surprised if the female pursues anything there.

What is unknown is how the office of student conduct and the University approaches things with the "shoot up the school" comment. It's not something I've dealt with before. So I don't know how it will be dealt with.

Plenty of unknowns that are going to remain that way while this investigation is being done.

Again... it's absurd to base anything on an alleged remark by one person who claimed to have heard it, but didn't see who said it-- with said remark uncorroborated by others at the scene, including the alleged victim who was the closest in proximity the entire time. Facts. Evidence. They matter.
