Yes. 15.5 does not make any distinction. Nonrecruited status only has to do with blupeshits afaik.

K. Good info

I still think this kid goes on $ at Christmas and counts toward this class. Hard for me to believe he’s paying out of state tuition for an entire year. Just a gray shirt deal imo

Agree, not sure he has a place right now. He was 4/5th best last year. Gray overtook him, maybe even Jordan. CFA is back. Sucks, he seems like a good athlete, just needs a spot.

Could he bulk up and be a FB??

There are only 5 scholarship RBs even with Banks. My guess is they're doing a bit of cross training until he does or needs to stick on one side or the other. CFA will be gone at year's end. Chandler may move on, too. Of course, we'll have to see what the recruiting class brings in.

Maybe. I'm a little fuzzy here, but I'm not sure grayshirts can even practice or be on the roster. I thought they were just students and essentially like an EE the next semester. That would also keep him from getting player benefits, such as medical and rehab. Again, kinda fuzzy here.

Either way it comes down to him paying 2 semesters vs 1 and how hard we push to avoid using a spot. Would be awesome if he pays one more semester and it's risk-free to us.

Banks is insurance at ILB. Bituli's knee and Ignont's ankle leave us with Reid, JJP and Henry T. JJP has been no-contact until last week, and Henry is a FR. So moving guys like Banks and Beasley to build more depth at ILB sounds smart.
Yuck. Didn't know Bituli and Ignont were banged up. Goodness. Glad we have till game 4 to play Florida. That front 7 is a bit scary at this exact moment.

Seeing Harbaugh's garbage, makes me less hopeful we get Solomon this season... sounds like Jimmy will do anything he can to block him from playing for us this season...

Cinci ehh,Memphis not real sure after the coach left but I’m sure Houston will no doubt..what game was that? It was a big game they canceled I believe wasn’t it like Florida or something
What coach did Memphis lose. Mike norvell is still there and he's the reason they've been good the past couple years. And I think Cincinnati is gonna surprise some people. Luke fickell has that defense on point. There's quite a few games with the top of the AAC against good p5 teams too so we'll find out. Memphis gets ole miss week 1. Cincinnati's first 2 games are UCLA and Ohio state. Houston gets Oklahoma and Washington state in the first 3 weeks. And UCF gets Stanford week 3 and Pittsburgh week 4. USF always sputters but they have some talent and Tulane and smu could sneak up on teams too.

The canceled game wasn't Florida. In 2017 the canceled a game against Georgia tech due to hurricane irma which also caused Florida to cancel against LSU. Last year the game at unc was canceled due to hurricane florence. Which is annoying because those 2 years everyone kept saying UCF needs to play more power 5 opponents. Well they were on the schedule. Can't help that hurricanes messed that up. In 2 different states too. Haha

Yeah, nothing alarming, but JJP's shoulder still seems to bother him a little, as well. Wouldn't be surprising to see Bituli limited in the first game. Let the other guys get the experience.

Certainly doesn't give me the warm feels, but I'm not sure we should have ever been confident. Never seemed to have a case as far as we knew/were aware of. Maybe staff was a bit too optimistic. If we believe Tom Mars, many staffs blindly think they will get waivers for any and everything and say it to the transfers. The kid comes and then has a slim case to present. Not very realistic expectations by many, if what Mars says is true.

He basically laughed right at Mehlen's optimism for Cox. Basically got him to UF on the basis of "we'll get you a waiver" without any basis for such a statement, whether done out of ignorance or intentionally misleading him. Mehlen wins either way.

Mars is the reason so many players were getting waivers and so many schools were filing. His creative exploitation of the mitigating circumstances loophole is what snowballed the situation and forced the NCAA to crack down. He encouraged a lot of families and consulted with numerous schools about workarounds... then he jumped to the other side to help close the door he kicked open.

So you're saying other lawyers were figuring out his methods and he wanted to keep his monopoly
