I think the issue i take with it (which isn't much of an issue) is that it makes some weird point to have a "girl power" moment and make it uber obvious. imo this is the opposite of what feminism is trying to achieve. If you want women to be truly equals then they should be fighting side by side with the male characters. Women can look strong without having to have some weird "this is where we show women can be strong too" moment. which is what they did with that scene.

Eh why not? How many bond movies have there been anyway? The entire franchise has been done to death.

I’d rather see them just hang it up with bond for 15-20 years until enough time has passed for them to do something fresh or relevant with it, but that’s never gonna happen anyway. I’ll just ignore female Bond like I would the next bond movie anyway. A stale movie is stale with a male or female lead.

Agreed with them making great movies, but I just don't know how it would work. Too much saturation and then you'd have to basically re-write so much of the history up until then because that would mean the X-Men would have been there the whole time, just hanging out at the local bar watching things pass by. Too many questions would arise for me and probably too much to sweep underneath a rug.

I guess I'm just a big fan of James Bond. I own them all, fun movies. I mean, if they made a 006 as a prequel or something and it was a woman I wouldn't care. Replacing the bond character with a woman though is dumb to me. I don't like it. I won't watch it.

Yeah...I guess they could "multiverse" those issues, but at some point that just gets way too much..

Have done some research on the game and here are my takeaways on the matchup:

Miami has some talent on D, especially at LB and S, however their OL was awful last year and they are trying to rebuild. They have good WRs and their sophomore TE is a future pro in Jordan. What scares me is the fact they have a redshirt freshman QB starting against Todd Grantham who is going to blitz the he!! out of him and show multiple looks.

On the other hand UF has a new OL and replacing several key players across the field. UF believes they will have their best offense in years if the line holds up. Athletes at the skill positions.

Will take the Canes getting to Franks and forcing some turnovers on D to have a chance, IMO. Gatas cover with a few explosive plays on offense.

Fair enough. I guess I’ve just always seen them as pretty uninteresting movies anyway and don’t care too much if they make them even less interesting.

Well...if they do it badly, and it spectacularly bombs, then the issue will be moot, because they ain't gonna keep taking huge losses...but...if they do pull it off, then look at it like a bonus, an unexpected pleasant surprise.

Is nothing sacred? Next thing you know they will be feminizing Bond parody films and we will have movies like In Like Flo and Our Woman FLo.

I’m really interested to see when their star will start fading with these movies. There’s been saturation for a decade or more with these movies and they’ve still made surprisingly few stinkers (and even the stinkers haven’t been THAT bad).

Smart money is on then not keeping it up forever of course, but they’ve got a hell of a track record.

they really blew their wad with this first phase. all the movies they have lined up are really minor and lame and they won't have James Gunn to pull another GOG out of his butt. I see the whole thing fading in the next five years.
