My grandma has always said she was born with 1 leg in Tennessee and 1 in Georgia cause the state line ran right down the middle of their farm house. I was walking down the bourbon aisle and saw this. Looked like a good way to honor her. She's the one who taught me many years ago not to mix my whiskey with anything but ice or water.

From the practice thread.

Tennessee wideouts Marquez Callaway and Josh Palmer both had several big catches Saturday. Callaway had a back-shoulder touchdown catch over freshman cornerback Warren Burrell and also beat Alontae Taylor, who worked almost exclusively with the 1s, for another score.

Quarterback Jarrett Guarantano had a pick-six on a tipped pass that Deandre Johnson ran back for a touchdown, but otherwise, it was a much crisper scrimmage for Tennessee’s starting quarterback.

Ty Chandler had two of three early fumbles, there was way too many pre-snap penalties and Taylor also dropped an interception. Still, despite shuffling around the offensive line constantly (more there in a moment), the unit was able to put together some drives thanks to explosive plays to Callaway and Palmer and long runs by Chandler.

Trey Smith would not participate, so the left guard spot saw Ryan Johnson, Jerome Carvin and Riley Locklear all see time with the first team.

the two guys who impressed as much as any were outside linebackers Deandre Johnson and freshman Roman Harrison.
As for Harrison, multiple people indicated he is already the nastiest and most aggressive player on Tennessee’s defense. He’s a bit of a Tasmanian devil at times but his passion and physicality are much-needed for this unit.

Harrison, Elijah Simmons and even Jerrod Means — three guys fairly under-recruited — have all impressed the staff this camp

Grandmothers know best....she taught you well.....

Marquez Callaway with a big day, including several touchdowns. Jarrett Guarantano had an early throw tipped at the LOS that was intercepted by Deandre Johnson for a pick-six. And finally, Ty Chandler had several nice runs but fumbled twice, including for a scoop and score.

It can be a bit of an echo chamber here. As you can see dissenting views are discouraged.

You're no ray of sunshine, but 2-10 is even a stretch for you Jack.

And for reference, people who study recruiting are focused on the future....something inherently full of hope. When others insist on dumping the constant drone of negative crap here, it isn't welcome. There is something to be said for having awareness of where you are and the interests of those around you. Choosing to be the dissenting viewpoint in a place where you know it isn't welcome sounds a tad bit like trolling.

Don’t you guys want to throw it in my face when we beat UF this year, or win more than 7 regular season games? Every babyface needs a heel.

From the practice thread.
If you saw the way Harrison rag dolled linemen in his highlights, then you knew he was our most aggressive player the moment the ink dried. I got Callaway topping 800 yards 6 TDs, i got Ty topping 1k with multiple long gainers. I also got Ty at over 7 yards a carry this season.

You think the committee of backs might hinder that many for a single back though?
