Okay, so you agree with me. It’s not about saving money.

500 channels of crap + added stability + same exact internet package = cable is still a better deal than the 70 channels you get through YouTubeTV or Sling or whatever.

All these streaming services are a big scam tricking hipsters into thinking they’re getting a better deal.
Are you a Comcast rep or something? How does going from a $125 a month package for cable/internet through Cable to $30 for Netflix+HULU and $65 for internet mean we're just a bunch of dumbdumb hispters who arent actually saving money? Classic Boomer mentality.

Tyler Byrd and Brandon Johnson are two guys who I’m hoping beyond hope find a way to showcase their skills this year and maybe even end up as at least practice squad guys, if not drafted.

I’m just partial to the kids who come here and remain Vols, especially when we’re in such a transfer heavy era.

Byrd especially came here as an all American. A lot of hype with him. Didn’t pan out for whatever reason and he didn’t get the playing time he probably hoped for. Yet he’s still here doing his part. Not transferring. Not posting passive agressive BS on social media. Just trying to play football.

Same with BJ - although he was less heralded. Still, he had a very solid sophomore year and then disappeared last year with a new coach. Never griped. Never became a distraction. And recently came out during an interview and sounded like the consumate team player.

There are others too, like CFA etc. But Byrd and Johnson are two kids im especially rooting for.

Umm no. You think more channels is a better deal, I say I would never watch them so why pay more for something I don't use or need? I also said I have no issues with stability so strike two. Give me 70 channels, unlimited dvr and saving $70 a month all day every day. Do you work for a cable company?
Again, you saved $70 from your bad deal.

If you’re starting from scratch, you could sign up for Xfinity Cable + Internet with their middle tier package of something like 300 channels + DVR and On Demand for $105. You’re paying the same thing for 1/3 of the channels with YouTubeTV.

For the record, I’ve cut the cord as well, but I’ve got the 25mbps internet package from Xfinity for $20 a month + Netflix. Just brought my own high end router and I get around 35mbps so speed is never an issue.

Lol “boomer.” I’m probably younger than you are.

A couple Biscuits with butter, Scrambled Eggs and cheese, and a few strips of Bacon. - My Breakfast/lunch with a Bloody Mary.

Snacking on tortilla chips and salsa with 2 or 3 beers

Dinner: Rib Eye steak covered in butter, grilled asparagus, Grilled Corn with an homemade Old Fashioned drink.

My ideal gameday food. Probably adds up to around 3000 calories.

I'm especially hoping Byrd has a really good year. Because of those ignorant Miami fans saying he's a bust because he came to TN. Really want them to look even dumber than they already are.

To be honest, I think Xfinity is the best bang for the buck period.

I don't however live in an area that allows it. We've got Dish & a local co-op for our telecommunications. About $250 combined, a bit less.

Hoping to convert the wife to YouTubeTV and we'll save roughly $50 or so a month and really not lose much.

We have 4 households plus our office on the same YouTube TV account therefore it is technically $10 per location.

All in for $60/mo for way more channels than we need. We also subscribe to Netflix and Amazon and save over $100 per month on what we had with Uverse, not to mention way less headache and haggle with the service.

Luckily my wife and I aren’t huge TV watchers so Netflix normally does it for us. We’ll switch from Netflix to Hulu once the ESPN+/Disney bundle goes live. That’s going to be a great deal for us. For sports I can usually find a specific game stream somewhere or use a family member’s Fox Sports or ESPN log in. (I realize not everyone has this luxury.)

Channel options? Local channels?
hold on....I am in a meeting. I can send you a link so that you can browse mine. I have an extra account that I can share. Basically the local channels update to wherever you are. For instance, I live in Atlanta, but when I travel to Tennessee, Florida or Bama the local channels update. So when you sign up with the link that I send you, the channels will update with wherever you are.

yeah no thanks on that, FX and AMC have too much of my fave shows to not have but literally I could be fine with 10 channels if I could do a la carte.

I’m all for sticking it to the cable companies. **** those guys and the bad options they’ve given us for years just because of the lack of competition. However, I’ve noticed the live-streaming services crossed a line at some point and now they’re price gauging just as badly as the cable companies.

You also have to keep in mind that not all services are offered everywhere. I live in Seymour and can get tv through Direct TV, Dish or Charter. No Xfinity options for me. So, your customer deal for xfinity would not work for me. I tried charter awhile back. They are awful. So again, it is not a myth for everyone. It is apparently just a myth for you. And, that's fine. You seem to like what you have and what you are required to pay, so there you go.

Been on a diet for last two months and doing 6 days a week in the gym. But when football season starts I can't help myself. I'm already preparing a feast in my head what I'll make on game day.

Being on the diet, you have already made a lifestyle change...don't go back to your old ways. If you want to feast at least be moderate. In March 197 today 168. I tell myself the same thing...i'll have a cheat day. But why? If I made the decision to change my lifestyle, why go back...just to enjoy football games? JMO

The Jennings info isn’t surprising. I said I doubted he’d be 100% by kickoff and was quickly accosted here. VQ and now Brad Shepard are indicating he wont be 100% this season. I’ll accept any gracious apologies in this thread today.
K. I’m sorry you’re so fragile and needy. Nut up.

Yep I get to watch Braves games whenever I want and my wife gets to dvr all the different Snapped shows she wants it will be the same for football. I do think 6 months is the time limit on the youtubetv dvr though but I may be mistaken.
I don't think that's correct, but I'm a little confused. For UT football, I've still got the Bama, Missouri and Vandy games in my Library, all listed as 8 months ago. It's in my Sports folder under Tennessee Volunteers football. What's weird is that I have another category called "Events" and for some reason last year's Georgia game is stored in that folder from 9/29/18...almost 11 months ago.

yeah, i wish you could just do everything on it's own stand alone app....i'd be in the same boat.

i guess i could...if someone wants to share their cable/satellite login info with me?

go ahead, @me.

Brad Shepard got his info from 247 guys and they stand next to the VQ guys so his information is just secondhand with his spin. As for JJ he brings leadership/passion to the team. To me, that is more important than his production in every game.
