The James man that I mentioned was a big benefactor of the U.T. golf team, and their practice facility carries his name. If memory serves, it's on the river near U.T. off Kingston Pike on whatever that street with all the old expensive houses (where the U.T. Pres house is or was). The man was a top amateur golfer, and was also a member of Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville. He is no longer with us.That bone nose is a problem.
I’ve trained in martial arts most of my adult life and my nose has been broken too many times to count
Reminds me of my high school “Jock Physics” class. No girls, no physics being taught, just me and a handful of football players cutting up. But I got lured into UT with a scholarship on early admission that winter (1972) thanks to our math teacher (wife of a former mayor of Knoxville). And the fun was over. Or maybe it was just beginning. We had normal classes and then we had the classes the football players went to. An A in the jock class paid the same as a normal class.
I don't have $60,000 dollars just laying around on the couch.
True. I never made a whole lot of money working. That’s the point though isn’t it.
If you have that laying around you’re not going to throw it away on a new thing. That’s how you got the money is by not losing shitloads on depreciation.
Or
You’ve planned for this purchase and it will last the rest of your days.
I have a truck with over 500k miles.
Why waste money on a new one when maintenance on the old one is cheaper.
Red has a 150 that’s an 06 with 130k on it. The thing is as good as new. Because we take care of it. I could throw money at a new one but that would be a stupid thing to do.
You can retire a millionaire on 15$ an hour.
You just can’t be stupid and do it
don't have a sh!tload now, but I have enough for my wife and me to make it at this stage in our lives. Some folks could run through everything I have in just a few years. We will make it last. If we get too low, at some point, we sell either one or two of the three houses. It's a little expensive to keep up 3 houses and 3 cable bills, utility bills, etc. Our cost of living is very low if we get down to one.Me either
And I don’t have to now either.

I agree about renting a vacation home, but my wife likes her own place, so she can leave stuff at the beach and not have to haul a load every time. The good thing is that I think that the shack at Cape San Blas should appreciate decently. Insurance, taxes, utilities, etc. run about $7,000 a year, and everything is fixed now. Mountain house, a tad less.I’ve found it to be much cheaper to rent a vacation home than keep one.
One house and land.
Will build on the land soon enough then probably sell the house.

I can find someone who will take my kidney and leave me in an ice bath. But it's on me completely if I actively seek them out and use them.
Only thing I would like to see are understandable contracts. Too much gets hidden in these contracts Marcus writes for everyone

Clinton, the Dems, and the media nudged us into a slowdown in 1992 to get Bush 1 out.Dems and their MSM are doing everything that they possibly can to scare Americans and the markets Into a recession because they know that is the only way that they stand a chance at the POTUS...
Panic and fear are the enemies of the stock market...not coincidentally, panic and fear as well as lies and cries of (choose: racist, homophobe, xenophobe, nazi..etcetc) are the only tools in the Dem toolbox...the Dimwits havent had an original idea or actual policy to run on since the 60s? 70s maybe???
Scum of the earth socialists want to see the world burn in hopes of getting a socialist in office to REALLY wreck shop by trying to free sheit us all to death..
I have zero idea what my credit score is.No offense to you as I am only tagging the post and not critiquing you personally but this is why credit scores are total crap.
No one should be over 750 unless they have at least 100,000 in the bank liquid.
Atleast 25,000 liquid to be over 700.
You must literally have to have debt to show u are debt worthy.
I also think all credit cards should be like the normal/original version of the Amex where u hsve thirty days to pay it off. None of this revolving debt crap our society is based on.
Of course, this would reset the entire economy but if you don’t have the money to buy a normal item that is not a need you shouldn’t be using credit to get it.....save up.
Our society is so credit happy.
