Before they legalized wine in grocery stores, I was told by a liquor store employee that the law stated that they couldn’t sell corkscrews or even glassware - nothing that would allow you to actually drink anything other than by breaking the neck of the bottle off against the side of the counter. Amazingly enough, there was a very handy (and tiny) store next door that sold exactly that.Still blows my mind that liquor stores won’t sell cork screws, but grocery stores do. They must expect more winos will hang out and chug a lug. Guess no one suggested they remove the screw tops, lol.
I guess they forgot to remove that provision?
