There’s a pretty interactive drum line/skit routine in the plaza before games. The chop team (quasi cheerleaders) are also out in the plaza before games. Both are excellent with kids. There’s a giant slide now that’s probably 2/3 stories high that kids seem to like that’s also right across from the main gate. There are water fountains that some kids play in (downside, your kid will be soaked).
The giant turf area always has kids playing catch or sometimes wiffle ball games will break out.
There’s a candy store, ice cream store, mizuno store full of baseball gear, and a store called Baseballism with a lot of baseball themed (heavy Sandlot) clothes/socks/hats.
They do open gates for BP but that will make for a long time inside the stadium between BP and game. Best bet for autographs is between the Braves dugout and the RF line. Swanson is great with signing, everyone else pretty hit or miss. I wouldn’t center the experience on autographs, tough to get a good spot/predict.
There’s a store down on the first base side of the main course that sells in-game baseballs that have been thrown out with a barcode of what happened (so-so singled to drive in so-so, etc) and other in-game items that gets add to as the game goes if you want a game specific souvenir. Won’t be cheap though.
Slap on some sunscreen, grab a terrapin and enjoy the park man. You’ll have a blast.
