I'd take all the scrimmage stuff with a lot of grains of salt, but overall it sounds like Year 2 in the defensive system is going to look a lot better than Year 1.

This looks fun! I’ve lived in Atlanta for some time now and I don’t ever recall hearing them do this. Anyone ever been?

Buzz from Tennessee (and Ohio State) according to Barton Simmons

On the latest Cover 3 podcast episode, the first guy Barton Simmons mentioned on camp buzz he's hearing from around the country is... Tennessee freshman RB Eric Gray.
(This is the part where you old timers have an aneurism about how hard you had it "back in the day". This is also the part where I just smile and nod and wait for you to forget what you were talking about.) It turns out that slamming heads together doesn't actually make you tougher or better at football, but it does open you up for a nice lawsuit in 30 years.
- UbbenHealth update
The Vols are mostly in good shape, but here’s where Tennessee’s health stands thus far.
• Wide receiver Jauan Jennings hasn’t looked 100 percent and played coy when asked if he’s playing through any pain from his knee injury this summer, but so far he hasn’t worn any black jerseys in camp that limit contact.
“We’re trying to manage it but I’m still practicing I’m going 100 percent,” Jennings said. “I feel good going out there. I tell coach, ‘Don’t hold nothing back.’ ”
• Running back Jeremy Banks dodged a bullet last week. He was carted out of Sunday’s practice, but he returned to practice on Wednesday after working with strength staff on Tuesday.
• Defensive back Baylen Buchanan is still being held out of practice with a neck injury.
• Linebacker Will Ignont suffered an injury last week and was missing during the open period for one practice, but he returned on Friday with a heavily taped ankle.
• Safety Trevon Flowers was out on Friday but returned on Saturday.
• Offensive linemen Chris Akporoghene and Ollie Lane have remained limited in practice.
