24/7 list Brent Key as his primary at Bama, but he was offered there so I'm sure he had some sort of interaction with Pruitt & Rocker. He missed all of 2017 and got 2018 to RS and rehab/condition himself. I don't think it's time to write him off as a potential starter/contributor.

It would be a good sign if they really wanted him at Bama regarding him being a good 3-4 fit

Just wondering

I know it will be hard to believe but I've had probably 70 at least in my lifetime. I had my first at 19 and had them my entire life. Still have them to this day. My sister had them, my mom and her mom before her so hereditary is a factor.
When I was having the most of them was when insurance would deny pre-existing conditions. I had to go 1 yr without an issue and that just didn't happen. Remember many times trying to tought it out attempting to get that year.
So I empathize with those dealing with stones!#
I swear, just reading this gives me a ghost pain. Like when a guy sees a fail video that make him cringe and cover his rustled jimmies. Literally hurts thinking about it.

Anyway, God love you brother.

Oh they wanted him. According to 24/7 he got offered at Bama in 2016 same day he camped there. He was the #10 ranked DT nationally and a top 125 overall prospect. I think had he not got hurt and missed that senior season in HS he might have been even higher ranked coming to college.

A few others that had offered him: Ran 3-4 or multiple at time of offer
LSU
Texas A&M
Michigan State
Ole Miss
Georgia
FSU

USC
South Carolina
Arkansas
Nebraska
Ohio State
Clemson
Penn State
Oregon
Louisville
Alabama

This is mildly trivial but worth noting - another negative of Goodens injury is he very likely was going to get drafted and somewhere in the first half of the draft.

After being blanked in the draft last year and mostly later round guys the year before, we need to start having a strong showing in the draft. Recruits notice this. Other programs use this to negatively recruit against us.

Really hoping guys like Callaway, Bitulli, DWA, and Warrior shine this year and end up getting selected. If a few others were able to find their way in there as well, that’d be perfect.

I’m good with some baseball talk, but Yankee fans? On a Tennessee fan board??

Surprised your other teams aren’t the Patriots, Bama football, Kentucky basketball, and Vandy baseball. What a disgrace to being a southerner.

There are Braves fans too...fans of a Georgian team. I question both honestly. I'll never join forces with leghumpers or gatuhs, don't care the sport. Just can't do it.

no, it's not. the biggest thing w/him at this point is just the fact he hasn't played a ton of football the past two years.

past that, he was a pretty highly recruited kid, and i remember thinking it was a big deal when we got him to sign........still have high hopes for him for sure.

Right here...lol. I’ve been really busy, that’s why I haven’t posted much. My work load should start slowing down a lot in the coming weeks. Believe me, I’m here though. As far as Russell goes, he wants to be there at A&M, but I’m being told that he wants to transfer to somewhere else. I think he made a quick decision without even thinking about it more. He is holding his own, but I think he wants to be closer to home now. He is getting homesick, and that is his doings though, and some thinks now he made a mistake of a choice.

If we're betting odds with the assumption no one else misses time with an injury. I think UT has 3 potential first rounders next year (Trey Smith I'm excluding intentionally, but could also be a candidate)

DWA - Look, if this guy legit runs 4.7s or faster with his size he just has to show up at the combine. TEs in the NFL are rarely drafted based on production anymore so numbers will help his stock, but may not hinder it if he's not caught 35+
Taylor - Coming from a 3-4, with his size and speed if he has a similar season (8 or more sacks) he'll get strong consideration
Bituli - Great size, good speed and he's been very durable in his career and very productive assuming he reaches 100 tackles as a senior...for a 3 year career he'll have amazing numbers

Hard to put WRs and/or RBs up there...I think Callaway and Jennings both could get attention and I also think if Ty has a stellar year and is legit 4.3s he'd be an interesting option, but the NFL seems to devalue RBs unless you're truly elite level (Even Henry from Bama went in the 2nd round) and WRs is a very deep talent pool almost always and neither of our two WRs are likely going to turn heads in the 40.
