6.19 ERA Still coming @Florida Stanley ?
new phone who disMight just stay up a few more hours until my brother @Florida Stanley wakes up. Between Duvall and Gausman we gotta talk
I'm interested in the numbers on this actually.Late last night going to bed, I was thinking about our pitching philosophy and it seems we only call three pitches. Fastball, secondary fastball (sinker, two seam, cutter), and then breaking pitch. Keuchel doesn’t do this and that makes sense: he’s 31 and a junk baller and signed in June. But even Teheran, who theoretically should be a junk baller, only throws four seam/two seam and slider. They don’t utilize his change or curve hardly ever and both are pretty solid. Same with Fried. His slider is good, but they never call it. Soroka never throws his change. It seems we never call change ups. Maybe it’s a league thing and I don’t notice it, but it seems our pitch selection is dumbed down. I might do more on this later.

The two outliers are that the Braves are 2nd in Splitter % and 28th in Changeups. I'm sure a lot of that is Gausman.
Pretty much middle of the pack in everything else. Not sure how significant it all is.
