ALL SAY HOLD MY BEER.... AMONG MANY OTHERS....
I worked at the World's Fair for Buddy's and they had bluegrass bands there all the time. I didn't like our much before, but it really grows on you.
When I was at UT, we'd go to Buddy's BBQ (I think - a BBQ place, anyway) on Friday's to listen/watch Knoxville Grass play. Had to get there really early in the late afternoon to get a place at one of the long tables to sit, order food and beer, and wait. Good times!!!
Thought they were some nothing outfit to begin with, then I saw them picking up big time national writers. Then I read they went through mutiple capital raisings through angels, VCs, etc. They got rolling so fast and I bet the early entrants are quite happy, given there is some exit point on the horizon.I actually like his articles. I like most articles I read in the Athletic - just so many more interesting, much better researched and developed articles than any other "sports news" I've seen in a while.
jmo but Muse live was forgettable, twice. But I've also read sparkling reviews of the same shows. If you're a huge fan, you may enjoy.Going to see the Foo Fighters in September, Tenacious D on Sunday. Pumped. Two of the few bands I’ve always wanted to see live but never have. Really wanna see Muse and Wolfmother live too.
I grew up with bluegrass. When I was young, my dad and his buddies would be in the living room "pickin' and grinnin'" while my older brother (10 years older) and his buddies would be in the basement playing Dave Clark 5 and the like!
Broo? He has burnt so many bridges there. He followed a legendary Vampire Weekend set with a long wait followed by an hour of sparse songs with more talk filler of "I'm the greatest of all-time, rap, rock, all of it" and "the media is after me". Dude sounded like the most paranoid egotistical fuzzbucket.I saw Kanye in ‘15. He was terrible. J. Cole and Kendrick were much better shows.
