Diapers are easy. The tough part about being a parent, if you're going to be a good one, which I assume you will be, is that life as you know it is over. And that's okay. Going out, having fun, movies and dinner dates with your wife, just having the overall freedom to do whatever, whenever, is over. That baby is now in charge and he/she will dictate your life 24/7 and that won't really change much until they're out of diapers, old enough to dress themselves, make a bowl of cereal, little things like that will feel like amazing wins as a parent. It's a process, a wonderful journey I wouldn't trade for ANYTHING.

You'll soon realize that you love that baby/toddler/child more than anything you've ever loved by a wide margin. And that comes with incredible responsibility and changes to your thinking. For example; you'll begin to have irrational fears (or at least I do), which really caught me off guard, I never had those thoughts before kids. You'll just randomly have these fearful thoughts about something bad happening to your child and it terrifies you! And this isn't to scare you at all, it's awesome being a dad, but just know that if you're a good parent NOTHING matters more to you than your children. A hug from my 6 year old can be the best thing that happens to me all day. Playing basketball with my 9yo and blocking his shots to teach him about hard work, is awesome. All these little things that you won't realize until they actually happen to you, mean more than any movie, date, concert, or vacation you missed out on.

And then when they start to get older you realize (like I am these days) that, "Oh ****, these kids are going to be adults in the blink of an eye!" And that makes me sad because they're wonderful and amazing and soon will likely hate me at times as a teen and young adult lol. Right now I'm the king of the world, and that's a great place to be. The days are long but the years are short, my friend. Enjoy it, be great at it, and you'll be filled with an unimaginable amount of joy and happiness just from a smile or a hug.

So much truth here ha

Just signed up at the new Planet Fitness about to open near work.

Going to go 5 days a week at lunch and hit a single muscle group each day (trying to maximize reps 15+ per set) and then hit at least 30 minutes of cardio. Will start out is walking then work my way up.

Might alternate cardio and do HIIT Tues/Thurs for 10-15 minutes to switch it up. Where you at @nicksjuzunk ???

"Many coaches say they have the best coaching staff in America, and I've been on many great staffs in my career, but I truly believe that we do have the best coaching staff in America."

Damn, Pruitt doesn't say stuff like that unless he means it. Wow, that's exciting to hear from him.

Right, I mean I’m so used to the usual coach talk BUT Pruitt spits fire. Doesn’t deserve anything and for him to speak highly about the coaches & team speaks volumes about this upcoming season. You could see how giddy he was, He couldn’t hold still!

Love hearing how much CJP loves Fitz & Chaney, that matters a ton. Means he'll trust them to do their jobs, which will make them both do their jobs better and ultimately make the team better.

Also hearing how much he's excited about that o-line and Taylor being always working is exciting.

Hey my guys @butchna and half of Miami’s prodigals @SLICKYINC. Y’all getting some love over at DN dawgnation.View attachment 215417

siap

Chaney's TE receptions/game ranking, pre-UGA days (in the SEC):

2014 Ark - 2nd (Henry)
2013 Ark - 2nd (Henry)

2012 UT - 2nd (Rivera)
2011 UT - 5th (Rivera)
2010 UT - 2nd (Stocker)
2009 UT - 4th (Stocker)

At UGA (which is the only thing Dawg fans can remember), yes Nauta still finished middle (7th) 2 out of his 3 years. The one year he didn't rank in the top half, the team ran 69% of the time. They are missing the point that UGA has been reeeal run heavy, no shiz the TE doesn't rack up catches.

Those same years their WR with the most touches/game ranked (in the SEC among all WRs):
2018 - 15th (Ridley)
2017 - 20th (Wimms)
2016 - 18th (Mckenzie)

You had a new leading WR each year. Fact is uga was so loaded with weapons, they 1) ran a bunch and 2) spread the ball around. Shame on Chaney.

Pruitt is CONFIDENT about his team and staff. The teams on our schedule better bring their A game if they want to beat the 2019 Vols.

Start with less cardio. Use it as a tool. I would start at 20 min. Mixing HIIT is good. I’m strictly doing stair stepper (on it now) because I can keep my HR at 130-140 and bump up easy if I want.

We're not going to match up with everyone talent wise but, I think Pruitt will get what he wants out of this team as he said at media days. Everyone who plays us will know they've been in a football game win or lose. We're coming out swinging this year imo.

I don't do cardio at all and have dropped over 50 pounds working with Nick since December. And that's with a month off in June.

Out of some pretty amazing posts over the years (likes don’t lie), this is, BY FAR, your best post ever. Literally could have been me writing this.

Career post!

Yeah that’s why I said use it as a tool. I want to use it for general cardiovascular benefits. What was your average calorie intake?
I can't give away our boy Nick's trade secrets. All I know is when I started this thing I was looking down the barrel of 240 pounds and today I'm 180!

I typically do steeper inclines on the treadmill and try to keep the walking brisk to keep the HR in close to the same range you do.

I honestly want to do the cardio not so much for weight loss purposes, I want to get my blood pressure down and improve my overall cardiovascular/heart health.
