No, I get that there are more examples. HT is just the one most commonly harped on. It isn't impossible to beat Bama for a recruit, but you said so yourself, 90% of the time we lose on that H2H matchup. BGS is saying the same thing. No one is saying we can't match up with Bama. Just that it is very rare that we win that battle, and justifiably so.

A basic anecdotal vs generality conceptual argument where both sides are right in their own regard...just arguing different points. Anecdotal evidence isn't proof of overall trends, though general trends don't preclude the possibility of outliers.

The 2 are not mutually exclusive.

And no one expects us to take our share vs Bama right now, we are on 2 totally different playing fields. But give this staff a couple more years to prove it on the field and I think we'll see our fair share of recruiting wins against them.

I am saying what I was told that Rusty said. If it was said earlier in the thread it’s simply because I didn’t go back and look that I missed it. Usually a lot to sort through in an effort to go back on this message board lol.

Everyone does it. And personally, the more that bring similar info, the more I find it reliable.
