Other coaches knew about Tyndall and his issues at Southern Miss, Tennessee didn’t look hard enough into his background because the warning signs were everywhere.
It’s also well known that Will Wade has been doing it too, but he still has a job. Gary Parrish will tell you that it was common knowledge that other coaches in VCU’s league knew what he was doing. Parrish said Wade jumped at one of his first P5 offers because he knew it was time to get out of the conference.
I have no doubt that rumors were that Tyndall skirted the rules but so does everyone else. I doubt it was known that academics were involved.
