The Atlanta Braves

Acuna had a rough 40ish games to start his first season in the bigs too, no?

Not saying Acuna is Trout because that’s lying, but that actually works both ways in relation to that graphic.

Ronnie’s OPS through 40 games was 100 points higher than Trout’s through 40 games.

During age 20/21 seasons, Trouts OPS is 155 points higher and with ~50 more SBs and better defense.

low impact, not helpful...
Eh, we thought the same things about Swarzak and Gausman.

I’m not saying these deals get you over the top but AA and his crew clearly have an eye for finding players underachieving elsewhere and identifying how their staff can maximize their positive traits.

Gausman has been low impact and not helpful tho. We came into this thing thinking Madbum/Wheeler/Thor... Roark is a massive letdown.

I want to compete with the Dodgers not just win the division.

Trout is the greatest player ever. Won't argue with the numbers.

But we also can't take away Trout's first 40 games, haha. Acuna also just stole 11 bases in July, so that's a recent development.

Ronnie is pretty incredible in his own right.

Don’t disagree with any. I’ve seen the Acuna/Trout graphic in 5 separate places now and it’s ridiculous for many reasons every time.
