Our society tends to prop those people up. It's not her fault that she's how she is, it's the fault of society. The courts perpetuate that stuff and even encourage it by not admonishing it. You are correct, it's completely effed up.

I'm really sorry. That is horrible. I don't see how a Mom or Dad can be deadbeat. My daughter's Dad got out of the Army 3 weeks after Child Support contacted his Commander and did not work again until she turned 18. He paid the minimum amount of $165 a month (Well, his wife paid it) He didn't go to her high school or College graduation. It didn't surprie me but hurts my feelings for her and It stinks. She has made it ok and I know your kids will be fine since they have you. Hang in there! I hope they throw the case out of court for you so you can move on.
