Did anyone else make weird associations between names or things as a really young kid?

I'll give 3 examples:

1) I remember adults talking about the Knoxville mayor (Victor Ashe) and after that I thought our mayor was the black tennis player off tv (Arthur Ashe).

2) I thought the UT baseball stadium was named after the guy on all those weird Naked Gun movie posters (Leslie Nielsen).

3) We would travel during Winter break to visit family in Pulaski. It was always so cold and the drive felt so long. I thought we were visiting Alaska.
Poolaski is the biggest dump of all time

They must be on the Braves schedule soon. Just like the Vols, the Braves always draw teams on their schedule when they get hot.

lol I feel ya. I'm a Dodgers fan and having just dropped a Freeway Series season sweep to the Angels, we start a road trip against the Nats tomorrow. Thankfully we have a big margin to absorb a late summer swoon if it happens.

Guarantano pulled off Herbert-esque numbers despite living life with one of the worst run games imaginable.

Not even including sacks, 32.6% of Tennessee's rushes were stuffed at or behind the line, worst in FBS. Only 41% of the carries gained at least 4 yards (119th). The Vols ran the ball constantly (and predictably) on early downs -- their run rate was 64% on standard downs, nearly 5 percentage points higher than the national average -- and all it produced were lots of second-and-11s and heavy pass rushes when Guarantano was looking to make up ground.

When he had time to pass, though, he did well. His passer rating was 152.0 on second downs and 150.4 on third downs with between 4 and 9 yards to go.

New offensive coordinator Jim Chaney is one of the better coaches in America when it comes to crafting a system around the standout talent he has at his disposal. Sometimes that means a run-heavy approach, and sometimes it means a lot of passing. With Guarantano and almost his entire receiving corps back (including a hell of a wideout trio in Marquez Callaway, Jauan Jennings and Josh Palmer), I'm guessing Chaney leans toward the latter.

He sums up pretty much my entire gripe with our offensive plan last year of running early and often, despite being horrible at it. Then Helton would be like, "well shoot now that it's 3rd and 11, go bail us out Jarrett and Marquez!". It was sad really.

Also glad he thinks we have "one hell of a trio" at WR. I think so too. The SEC media doesn't seem to. Not that they seem to know much.

I will tell you of the three astounding miseries

1. When I discovered people spend hours watching others play video games on YouTube instead of playing themselves

2. When I discovered people acquired currency by having people watch them play video games on YouTube

3. When I discovered some of these people pull in hundreds of thousands of dollars a month for this.

No, none of this is a new revelation, but it needed to be said

My brother bought me a bottle of Osterine which is what he supposedly popped hot for. It is supposed to be great for joint damage and arthritis. However, what he got me has a warning on the bottle that says: "Not for human consumption" because it hasn't been approved by the FDA. The unopened bottle is still sitting in my cabinet. I don't think the military would approve. Lol.

Ostarine is actually a SARM that body builders use to prevent muscle waste during cutting cycles. You can be at a caloric deficit and not lose any muscle. It works too if you get it from a reputable source.

It's wild, isn't it? Blows my mind what some of the crap kids watch these days on youtube. My sons are 9 and 6 and if I let them they'd spend hours everyday watching some of the most ridiculous stuff on youtube. In addition to watching other humans play fortnite they like watching some channel where these two teenage boys make pancakes with colored batter, into shapes of super heroes and other things. One guy is bad at it and the other is good at it. And while they're making these stupid pancakes they're selling merchandise, weird sound effects are going off, camera is zooming in/out for no reason, its basically a nightmare that gives me a headache.

They also like to watch these twin teenage brothers doing dumb **** all day, they get their family involved and everyone is just a dumbass IMO. The family owns a gym of some sort and they'll spend hours in there jumping on trampolines, doing flips and crap or just pranking each other. It's mindless entertainment that bothers my brain. I'd rather watch baseball in slow motion.

Twitchers? Those kids are multimillionaires and it's insane. Granted, they are typically quite skilled at gaming while entertaining their audience from what I understand...but still.

My son watches them play all the time. I thought he had to be 1 of a few. Turns out there's now TV shows of others playing games.
Hell, I got bored when it wasn't my turn when a friend was over.

My nearly 22 years of sacrificee, my insanely inexpensive TriCare Reserve Select health insurance, and my anticipated retirement pay says not to chance it. LOL.
It is a crime that our veterans have to pay anything for health coverage for themselves, or their spouse and children. I feel bad about that.

You see Bellinger get tossed last night? He was just letting the ump know how far off the, ahem, "freaking" plate those pitches were that he was calling strikes!

Callahan put out an article titled "10 targets Tennessee needs to land"

Baron
Hardy
Jarrett
Thomas
Gilbert
Whitehead
Grimes
Hyatt
Dennis
Jordan

Someone asked how many he thinks UT ultimately lands?

The safe bet would be somewhere in the 5-7 range. I think it’s possible Tennessee could get 7-8 of them if things really fall the Vols’ way. But they’re obviously in some big-time battles for a lot of these guys.

One of those guys landed the Mexican Weather Girl, Yanet Garcia...and dumped her because she was too much of a distraction as he prepared for a Call of Duty tournament. 😏
