I think the only reason we know about Sewell and Smalls is because the National Recruiting guys know to follow Neids around everywhere he goes. I don't think we are in trouble recruiting wise, and I do think we get a few of those big names, and maybe more if we win. I just remember it's been leaked that Pruitt said earlier this year that we would have the #1 class if everyone committed to a recruit. The flow of information isn't supporting that statement, and we know this is staff has some big time national recruiters on it. Tee has been missing though, and Ansley hasn't made a difference yet.

I don't think that's completely off base to be honest...

Smalls, Rogers, Gilbert, Washington, Jarrett, Bigsby, Morris, Grimes, Sewell and Bailey (commit) are all guys I would say we have a legit chance at landing and are all top 50 on Rivals. Throw in our commit A Johnson along with Baron and Cowan and there are 3 more top 100 guys. Now we just need to sign all of them, simple as that ha

Not that this pertains to Tennessee but at least there is some movement in the NCAA transfer department. Unfortunatley for this kid moving from Texas A&M to Troy was not approved. The biggest take away i took from this was this quote: "The NCAA recently denied Strong’s waiver request, sending the message that mostly high-profile quarterbacks at major programs deserve waivers. Players moving from the Power 5 to Group of 5 programs don’t seem to be getting that same luxury this offseason".

"sending the message that..." aka an SDS writer just spitballling. Would take with a grain of salt.

Might also be that G5 doesn't have as deep pockets for legal representation, and a P5 school's willingness to spend is likely commensurate with the perceived benefit. Nobody has money for depth guy, but a starter at a key position could change a season. It may have less to do with the NCAA and more to do with how hard others are pushing.
