My wife was the same with an early sort bday, and our youngest son is as well with an August bday.
He was in a transitional class for pre k at 4, ans they decided he was too advanced for that and put him in K half way thru the year at 4. So he is a year younger than everyone in his grade, 2 years younger than some.
Didn’t really think it out at the time, we were “oh our kid is smart as ****...”lmao.
Now, not so much, he’s struggling mentally in class. Athletically, he’s doing just fine, and better than majority of kids a year older or more. I have to wonder how good he’d be if he was the same age?!?

Our son turned 5 as school started. He was fine intellectually, but we were concerned he needed another year to mature emotionally, so we held him back. He is ahead of the curve, but that's ok. Coming from my genes, he is never going to be bigger than other kids, even almost a year older. It has worked out well.

Just blows my mind how players can fall in rankings when they haven't played any games. But, they dominate in camps and still fall.
Late summer rankings are based on camp circuits. The early Spring reranking was based on what happened over the Fall.

But I also think plenty of small "drops" are where the kid isn't adjusted himself, but others jump over him.

For years, the media propped up bad Tennessee teams coached by guys who never should have trotted through the T. Now, the media is down on a Tennessee team that should be much improved with very good coaching. They're overcompensating.

Player ratings are like media opinions-- best taken with a whole shaker of salt.

I kinda wish the "star" system didnt exist. It would take some pressure off coaches to try to please the fans. Although, I don't believe CJP gives a chit about stars or what the fans think -- which is a good thing.
It would not be bad, but it would drive down subscriptions for all the recruiting sites, so there's no way that's going to happen.

Muschamp doing well at QB recruiting. Doty is up to 67 on 247, after landing that moron top-70 Hilinksi last year.

Too bad he is absolutely terrible at developing QBs.

In East
Pizza- 5 points, check out Slim n Husky’s in North Nash too.
Burger- Everyone will say Pharmacy but try Riverside Grillshack or Dino’s
Sammich- Mitchell’s is a MUST
Tacos- Mas Tacos or head to South Nashville area for street tacos.
Breakfast- Marche
Beer- Southern Grist

Also check out Lockeland and Margot.

Also, find your way to Arnold’s near downtown at some point.
This but you will need to get there ~11 for lunch. It is not fancy/upscale but definitely one of the best places to eat in Nashville. Will see lawyers and construction workers in the line to be served.

No worries, HB gonna get em..

Just talking off top of my head here and ofc it is jumping the gun, but just putting vague pieces together - he hasn't pulled anyone here yet, certainly not due to a lack of effort. Then OLB talked about how HB was received at E11 by his peers. Maybe it was just the wording, but it didn't sound great.

But I also remember a lot of talk of, "if he commits to UT, he's a guy a lot of kids will want to follow" last year. Hopefully that still comes to fruition.

I didn't say it, but....

I could have swore our team ranking was 26 this morning. Did the drop in player ranking drop our team ranking to 28?

I don't follow until we are top 15, so I honestly don't know what we were, but the margin among us, Louisville, and Minnesota is RAZOR thin. So it's possible any movement among those 3 commit lists could shuffle things.

I could be wrong but I think we were 26th earlier. Its not a big deal in long run.
