PFF: Fewest turnover worthy plays among SEC QBs (another JG thread)

His short game is good, but I'm going to disagree on the deep ball. That is where he is inaccurate. Some of it is lack of protection, but some of it is on him. His completion percentage is good because of fewer pass attempts and short passes. It's a combo of him and the O- line.
Most of the deep balls he hit were off play action and when he had time to make the throw. I’m gonna go opposite and say his deep game is better than his short game but his short game, IMO is more timing than anything. Either way though, I hope to see improvement on both those this year and we will see it if the OL is even mediocre. They were downright bad last season.

Most of Wilson's passes weren't catchable by either offense or defense.

Nobody fears JG’s throwing. That’s why they load up and stop the run and try to make JG throw for us to win. Play calling could help some of that, but JG needs to be given the chance to prove it. I think CJC is going to be huge in his development.

Fromm and Tua are on a top 5 fewest TDs list ? Do explain o wise one
No. But JG is. You know..if they had a top 5 fewest td passes in a year graphic...JG would be on it. I am shocked you didnt pick up what I was putting down.

Just kidding. Not shocked.

The sad part is, a lot of times they weren't loading the box and the problem was the exact opposite. Opposing defenses knew we couldn't block anybody and they could leave the extra safety in the back to force throws underneath.

"Top 5 fewest" doesn't even make sense. Not to mention the point being false as well.

Lmao
Top 5 Fewest is the polite way of saying 5 worst at throwing TDs in the SEC. I figured you would have understood that considering your participation trophy attitude towards our QB.

Oh..And he is tied for second worst for TD's..or for you, second best at not throwing TD's. Fact. And if we go with the graphics 175 drop back minimum he is no longer tied but solidly takes control of second worst at throwing TD's, or second best at not throwing TD's. Which ever makes you feel better you can roll with.

Careful..there be stats here:

Which comes back to a previously made point, no one is scared of JG throwing the ball. No one is scared of him running with the ball either.

This doesn't make sense for the majority of the time he dropped back tho.

If your front 4 (more often than not) were good enough to be in the pocket 0.8 seconds post snap your back 7 are not going to give up throws down field because they can go safe and still get to your QB.

The dumbest DC in the conference is smart enough to realize that.

Until UT's OL can run block and be average on pass downs this isn't going to change regardless of who is taking the snaps. And Im not sure how good JG really is.

We won't have a running game as long as we have linemen that are 270 lbs.

Nah defenses just new that if they sent 4 men and had a stunt or twist thrown in then there was a 50/50 chance one of or OL would blow an assignment or whiff on a block and they could blow up any run plays. Why lid up to stop the run when your front 7 can just whip their competition without much trouble?
