He has no business being on the MLB roster right now but I would be selective in who he’s traded for unless you want to make a splash at 3b in FA. Gotta assume he is the future there. Turning back to Camargo as an everyday player next year is a tough sell.

Riley has to learn to take walks at this level or he will bust. You can strike out a lot, if you walk. But you can’t strike out a lot and not walk.

I agree in general but re: Riley, I haven’t seen every game lately and I don’t care about his advanced stats but he is swinging and missing at pitches IN the strike zone. You can’t do that.

The Braves continue to focus on pursuing Bumgarner, but like every other team, they are not convinced that he’s actually going to be traded now. The Braves like Stroman, too, but are set on any move they make being a more impactful one, as they believe a potential Bumgarner pick-up would be. Atlanta was also pleased by how well Kevin Gausman threw on Sunday, and with Keuchel, Soroka, Fried, Gausman and Teheran, they think they have enough, especially with Mike Foltynewicz having a really good start in AAA recently.

I’d almost guarantee we’re not in on Stroman considering how many other teams are interested. That price is gonna be more than we’ll pay.
