Thanks for the prayers and kind words everyone

A lot of people don’t get it because we are “home” and think it’s going to be great but it’s much more complicated than that.

Imagine going on vacation with your family and finding out while you were there that there was a health issue, and now you must remain in this vacationing country where you have nothing except your packed bags. Your job, friends, dog and 95% of your possessions remain at home.

It is a blessing to be with family here but to say my word has been completely turned on it’s head is an understatement and I’m struggling with the loss of control. I literally cannot even decide the country I live in at the moment.

Just a little raw moment from me... I know all the “right” answers, but I’m pretty authentic with how I feel about this process in this moment
✌🏻
The word never said to call things that are as if they weren’t; if you’re struggling then your struggling. Couldn’t imagine man. Praying He will reveal Himself in a fresh new way through all of this brother.

Sometimes we all just need a “raw moment”. Praying, anything else you and family need, besides support?
At the moment, we’d just appreciate prayer. There’s a lot of moving parts. I’m hoping our landlord doesn’t boot us from our Thai home since we won’t be there, then I have no clue where our things would go. As it is, I’ll have to go back next month to talk to her and pay rent for a house we won’t be able to live in for the next year, which drives me nuts.

Anyways, I’ve said enough. It’s not really the place, if folks pray, you can keep us in prayer, thanks

You certainly have the prayers, and anything else.

It's the place if you want it to be. Charger's situation made that apparent. We may not all know each other or hold the same thoughts and beliefs. But at it's core, it's a pretty good community and you've represented well.
If there's help you need even if it's a round trip ticket to go back for a week to take care of home issues in person, it doesn't hurt to ask and leave it up to people here to respond or not.
Nobody is going to crap on that. Especially with your knife fighting resume.

I’d imagine so - especially if the offensive line takes a jump.

Even if it doesn’t, there are ways to scheme around it that Helton refused (or wasn’t allowed to) implement. I think Chaney will be much better in that regard - and have the mandate from the HC to do so.
Former OL coach. DeBord got the best performance out of the offense the last 6 seasons due to him being the same imo. Know how to work around your strengths and weaknesses...mostly the latter.

The idea of determining progress on 1 outing, which includes tons of variance, I've always found to be an odd idea.

I'd rather go by something like what Chatta cooks up with his analysis of how we do vs other SEC teams. If our metrics improve across our entire SEC schedule, I'll take that as a good measuring stick for how far we've come in a year.

Of course you may have just been saying BYU is our first real test, which is absolutely true. I don't like these warm up openers (Ga St) that tell us nothing. It's almost like we have to patiently wait till week 2 to find out anything meaningful about Team 123 the 2019 squad.

I’m ok with playing a team like Georgia State in week one. We need to get guys out there under the lights and get things worked out. If we were more talented, then playing a better team would be fine. Our schedule is great for a year like this.

So if we lose you wouldn’t consider it a bad loss with your mantra? Just curious.

&

BYU isn’t a GA State level team either.

Was just thinking, we’ve got three linebackers that will be very fun to track as the year goes on. Crouch, To’oto’o and JJP likely won’t be starters to begin the year but it’ll be fun to watch them on special teams then start to get more consistent playing time on defense.
JJP is an afterthought

I don’t think so. What’ve I’ve read and told he’s turned the corner. Fitz has added 5 pounds to him and again from what I’ve been told he looks more of a DE now & He has a legit shoulder injury and tried to push through it during the spring, told the coaches not to let him quit. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ TIFWIW

You have my email if you have any medical questions. If I don’t know the answer I know where to get it. Continue to pray for you. I’ve said it before and will again I’m proud of you for the service. I am more than happy to help in any way I can.

It's pretty unfortunate that you have your hands full right now. Crouch apparently is looking for someone with your unique skill set.

P.S. As others have stated - you have a wealth of goodwill here on VN and not only do we wish the best for you but many who are capable will be willing to try to help in any way you might need. #VFL
