Not faulting him this year. He just has not shown up consistently in big games, but he seems to really get off against lesser comp. I like dominant players not guys that look like their not suppose to be on the field against a team like Florida.

Erik Ainge wasn't exactly stellar in our big games last year. Now that I think about it, I can't really recall anyone on the team having a huge performance in a big game in an awfully long time.

seriously, Lucas hasn't been catching it because his number hasn't been specifically called in the huddle. It's painfully apparent now that Crompton went to the LOS knowing where the ball was going.

I remember Meachem against Bama when we were down he had big catches on the game winning drive to win the game. Even though he didn't have a good game it comes down to getting open when we need you and Lucas hasn't provided that for us. I do see a player like Moore opening up the underneath routes for G.Jones.

As long as Nick Stephens can prove that he will continue to consistently get the ball to receivers, you will see every WRs production go up. The advantage is that will hopefully open the door for Gerald to continue to make big plays because the other team can no longer key in on him. Even if the only thing Lucas is doing is catching short in-routes for 5-8 yards a pop that will still open the field.

Not against an athletic defense. A team with enough corners can assign an athletic corner to him and take him completely out of the game. Its hard to open up the defense if the safety just has to worry about one downfield threat.

lack of downfield threat isn't the problem that lack of running game is.

I feel that way too, but I don't feel that you can evaluate our down field threat based on the games we've played thus far. The only way we'll know is if Nick can't get the ball to them in the future against UGA and Bama. I sort of feel like a lot of our problems revolved around the fact that JC was just that horrible. Stephens only threw the ball 17 times against NIU so I have no idea if he can sustain a 10 of 17 performance (or higher) against a better team.

From what Ive seen Taylor was one of the better wrs in the sec last year. However, it doesnt matter how good he is if there is no one to throw the ball to him. Honestly, crompton is probably one of the worst sec qbs i have seen in my lifetime

Sorry I can name a few guys on other teams I would rather have than Lucas Taylor. There are number of guys better than he is.

Have you ever heard of a draft bust? That's where I aiming. I personally thought our line would be physical like Alabama's but guess they don't have the attitude to do it. I think that stems down from the coach. Because we should be the most physical team year in and year out with a former O lineman as our coach.

I understand the draft bust concept. You missed the bust having no legs concept.

It was a simply little play on words that didn't work out for you. No big deal.
