The Atlanta Braves

What I’ve read is that they’re still selling. Even though their “hot streak” has gotten them close to .500 and fringe contention, their run differential is still crap and ownership knows they have no shot.

Between the gNats and NL Central teams the Giants would be fools not to sell, I wouldn't be surprised if two NL Central teams take both wild card spots.

If the Minnesota Twins blow a 10.5 divisional lead that they got in May they should fold the franchise.

I'm all in on Stroman at this point. From the sound of it though, so is every contending MLB team. Gonna be tough to outbid some of these heavy hitters.
It’s not like we are having to spend big dollars. We have to prospects to get any of the big guys that will be potentially be traded. Who knows what we will have give up though but we can just about trump most of these teams with our prospects.

I read an article a few days back that made an interesting point. While the Braves do have the prospects to trade to get whoever, with the international signing penalty they don't have ability to easily replace those prospects. I think AA has been wise by being conservative trading away prospects. To ensure long term success, this year more than any other Liberty Media should have had the foresight to try and address all the current needs of this years team in FA. So they could hang onto their "hard to replace/ irreplaceable prospects" while providing the support this years team as earned and deserves.

Personally I'd rather hang on to our top prospects than waste them on a middle of the rotation pitcher, a bullpen piece, or some average closer. That won't get this team to the WS anyways. Unless it's a real difference maker type player, don't risk the future. Just my opinion.

It would be huge if they could depend on Julio to pitch at that level consistently the rest of this season. Then they could focus mostly on improving the bullpen and could probably get by with Max as the 4th starter and whoever is hot/available from the group of prospects and rehabs that they are shuffling between the majors and minors.
