Did Franks do any better last year with a much better line?

I’m basing it off the fact that George said the cop hit him first and now he’s back on the team after the details were seemingly sorted out behind the scenes. Pruitt doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that would bring people back if they hit a cop for no reason

Yep, because that's proof of what happened. You just jump to conclusions.

I'm watching this live Q&A on the Athletic with David Ubben. I really like his work, but every time I start feeling optimistic about something football related, he brings me right back down to earth. Why can't we have just one guy that writes for us be a sunshine pumper?

Sunshine is everywhere. I want honesty and real journalism which is extremely rare.

By the way, this is the first time I’ve looked at Stassen’s site this preseason, and two things immediately caught my eye. One, look at that Michigan love. My goodness. Someone remind me the definition of insanity? And also, I have a new ready-made answer whenever anyone asks the inevitable, “Which team is getting too much hype coming into the season?”
Florida, followed by Florida, followed by Florida again.

If it is just a case of taking up space, any fatass could fulfill that role. Plenty of large kids do not learn to play proper technique. They get blown off the line of scrimmage. They never learn explosion and body lean; how to discipline themselves to staying parallel to the line of scrimmage. If it was easy, any big guy could do it. This young man seems like a talent, but he needs to be developed. Very few are just plug and play.

Technique is important at every position. You could say the same thing about a CB ("any fast kid could play that position if speed was all that mattered"). Simmons may or may not already have good technique coming out of high school depending on his coaching. My point was that he won't have to spend a lot of mental effort picking up the playbook as a NG, and so his learning curve shouldn't be as steep as just about any other position. And since he won't have to learn as much about assignments, he can spend more time focusing on his technique. Heh
