Her partner is Sue Bird of the WNBA's Seattle Storm (she played for UConn from 1999-2002)). A male heterosexual could do worse, I think.

I don't like it when athletes who are representing the United States in international competition use their platforms to make political statements... but let's face it, you are only on here insulting her looks because she hates Trump.

Rapinoe irks me a little bit, but then I see how badly she trolls everyone with stuff that is barely even noteworthy and it makes me kinda like her. No idea why a female athlete asking for equal pay bothers people that have nothing to win or lose, regardless of the outcome.

Maybe some would’ve seen it as a cop-out. But I imagine she would have overall gained a larger audience to her cause.

The USNWT is not a government sponsored or controlled entity. It has U.S. in the title but the U.S. is as involved in the same way that the U.S. was involved in the U.S.F.L.

She doesn't understand economics. When you pull in less than a 1/4 of what the mens team does thats buisness.
Someone said she was saying buy our merchandise,
souvenirs and shirts. Yesterday, she said Trump doesn't like people that look like me or think like me during an interview.

She kneels during the Anthem.
Talks bad about the country.
Talks bad about the President.
Says how unfair the pay is.


Anybody tell the DA she could've made alot more money not alienating over half of the country? I don't think she cares, activists get money under the table and she's probably trying to get a Nike gig.

And what's the ish about Trump not liking her with purple hair or being a lesbian? Anybody heard Trump say he hated people with purple hair or hated lesbians?

Good, they should.

Why some people hate on others for trying to get that bread is beyond comprehension. Women are notoriously underpaid, e.g. nurses and teachers, I encourage everyone (that's not my employee) to ask for a raise.

I like how posters here make fun of the USWNT for losing to the U-15 team in a scrimmage, as if it discredits their worth and accomplishments. If any of you chuckleheads had a daughter who was the last player on the bench, you'd be the proudest Dad on VN.

She doesn't anger me. I find her offensive, and because of her position on the country and whining about pay it turned me away from any interest I might otherwise have had in the WC. I couldn't care less about her 10 remaining minutes of fame.


Do junior high PE coaches get fat Nike contracts? I guess we will find out

I was surprised to hear we had a women's soccer team. I was shocked to hear they get paid. Anything is possible nowadays.
