JG certainly hasn’t been on the receiving end of any decent coaching since he has been here. And his line has been beyond trash. Having said that, I hope he has developed pocket awareness and an internal clock. It wouldn’t have been so evident if he had decent play around him, but it’s still a problem for him. Pretty excited to see how he does this fall, I’ve said it before but no one deserves it more than he does. Excellent kid, and really has become the team leader. He could’ve and (probably should’ve) bailed several times and stuck it out. I respect the hell out of that, especially in today’s age. Also JG has the worst OC I’ve seen at Tennessee last year
Especially considering that dude was picking his helmet up off the turf 10 times a game.
That’s apples to oranges. Assuming those guys had actual receivers that could get open. Almost all of JG’s throws were tight windows and contested. Palmer, Callaway, and Jennings are nice WRs but they are all the same player. A good TE would’ve been great too. Any QB that took a snap last year was on an island. That’s not good.If you compare SEC Qbs from last, several of them were sacked close to JG's number., a few were sacked more.. Their passing numbers and TD totals were still higher.
Just Shows that he is average at best. Shows in the stats. Shows in UT's record
