As I said on another thread, for what its worth, lets stop with the Kiffin talk. I don't think the guy is a good choice. The others mentioned are great but probably pipe dreams. I say Peterson or Venables.

I know I don't have the say...but he doesn't excite me. Does losing in the NFL make you a good candidate? Living in LA, and from what I've heard from the fans, is he would be a horrible choice. Sarkisian and Chow is/were the minds there. I honestly don't see why everyone is all about Kiffin. If Fulmer goes, and Kiffin comes, I'll be as big a fan as always, but I would have my doubts still.

Kiffen's never won anything---why is he a candidate, just because he was an ass't coach at USC, where everyone looks good due to all their talent.

After being painted as a liar and a overall dumba## by Al Davis i would not count on seeing Kiffen as a head coach anywhere.
Say what you will about Davis, that press conference was very telling.

I think we could very possibly see Clawson as the HC next year. I can't see the big 3 they want being interested. From there I think they start thinking young, and they will probably have Clawson high on the list at that point.

No that would be because Fulmer wouldn't let him make a QB change and b/c that same QB couldn't learn the play book. If you had seen Clawson at Richmond then you would know that this wasn't his offense. But I also didn't say he was UT's first choice. I just don't think that many will be interested in this job.

Then who will be? There has yet to be someone named who would for sure be interested in this job other than Clawson. Do I think he's the best man for the job? No. But I just don't see any of these big name HC fantasies coming true.

We don't need a fantasy to do better than someone running an offense as bad as this one is.

If the Tennessee job becomes open qualified applicants will be lined up out the door for this job.

That's true, but it will be none of the aforementioned superstars. How about Skip Holtz? He would probably be interested in the job.
