2020 Presidential Race

Pretty simple, even if only viewed on a relatively small scale... Our industries/machines produce pollution and heat, which increases air pollution and increases the temperature. It's a fact. Now if people want to argue that it's negligible, that's different than saying we aren't contributing.
Why leave out all the people from that equation? We were about a billion strong in 1800 during the industrial revolution that is the typical start of the climate downfall. We are now up above 7 billion. That's a 700% increase in the number of moving, breathing, consuming space heaters. That piece cant be denied.

If we went totally carbon neutral tomorrow you would still see the planet heat up. More and more people in the same space is just going to cause it to heat up. Even without the added insulation from all our pollution.

I saw a program over the weekend that says AI will be taking over mankind & eventually destroy the World.
We are in the process of developing more AI that when the machines become too smart & decide they don't need us anymore it will be the end for humans as we know it. I don't have to worry w/all that bc I'm going to be dead before another 100 years comes around. ;);)

All AI has to be programmed by a human. Machines can only learn what they are taught to learn. I don’t think we have to worry about machines taking over the world.

I want the Dems to beat him head to head so he and his supporters have less reason to complain.

Personally I'd love to see Amash run either against Trump in the primaries or for the Dem nomination. Having the nomination of one of the two parties is the only way he wins the general. He could beat Trump in the primaries.

Those arent real AI. There are already examples of them stepping beyond what they have been taught. See the one doing renderings on the universe.

Yeah, man.. I won't pretend to know every contributing factor and I doubt anyone could know. But If, and I believe it does, increased CO2 levels promote temperature rise, the more we breathe the more we accelerate the problem. I suppose we can take some comfort in knowing that if the average temperature becomes high enough, we will not need those heaters as often.

Less vegetation and more people equals more problems, but I think we could do better than turning relatively cool carbon based fuels into hot air and CO2.

It is also a fact the world has warmed and cooled many times before man was ever a factor.

Complete horse crap. They stopped caring when their pockets started to be lined, had not a damn thing to do with race.
Who lined the pockets of all the rubes dressing up like founding fathers? I must have missed their outrage about the increased deficit.

The royal "we" (did I use that right, I never really understood it, but it sounds cool)

I think you did use it correctly. It loses something in text form because the royal we needs to have the uptone inflection, a British accent, and be drawn out just enough to go a tad long in the pace of the word. Hard to do on a message board.

Officially yes, but the populism of the Tea Party existed before then. She was one of the first.
Not really that either. The initial response around it was from Ron Paul supporters. She would never be confused with one of those

You put him on stage against Trump and Biden and he would do very well. Maybe not win but neither could stand toe to toe with him on policy

You know there's something a little reassuring that we will be gone when millennials and newer generations realize they have to live with the mess they've made of things. It would be nice to be able to look down and watch them scurry around trying to undo their crap.

Our air is as clean as it's ever going to get with the world being industrialized. Temps have risen and fallen many times throughout millennia, we're not going to stop it. I've said many times that I would support the use of our tax dollars studying how to live and prosper with rising temps but very few want to go that route.

Yep, a lot smarter to leave the scene than think you can stop a slow motion train wreck. We aren't going to stop climate change, so we better learn to live with it. The first clue that we aren't going to stop it ... even if it were man made, is our continued manufacturing in and hands off approach to Chinese industrial pollution. If I recall correctly, the Paris Accords tweaked the very countries that have been responsible in reducing pollution while giving the real polluters a "temporary" pass.
