Amash doesn't stand a chance, I doubt he even gets the Libertarian nomination. BUT that being said, even if he was able to pull it off and win he couldn't change anything. There are way too many entrenched bureaucrats and career politicians standing in the way, they're not going to allow 1 man to upset their applecart.

I agree completely, but I have no faith that the American constituency will abandon the Democrat/Republican paradigm. Total collapse will be necessary for it to change.

I acknowledge it is a helluva a challenge. But if we think it is really hopeless, whether it is from an independent or a party man, then our collective goose is already cooked. The only option is to stage a constitutional convention or raise up arms against our own government

I believe change through the election processes is a hopeless cause.

The only way change like this happens is from the ground up. The third party would have to win on the state and local levels.

Just one. Amash wins and gets people talking. In this social media age that's all it takes. Look at the idiots on either side, they only get to sell because they have won. Start getting some noise and you have a chance. You are already seeing the fracturing of the parties. Old and new dems butting heads. Never trump Rs vs the party Rs. Just fracture it and watch their house of cards.come.tumbling down. It's why they have to protect it so hard. They know they are vulnerable so both sides stick to the lies that keep them in power

Getting Amash as the LP nom in the debates would absolutely change the conversation. He doesn't have to remember all the lies he told

I'm saying his stances have been consistent and very well documented. He tells everyone what he voted and why. The rest seem to either be very confused or are misremembering their life experiences

Amash is cutting a corner here. And did something I wouldn't mind seeing more of. People run as one of the party candidates, get elected and get the name recognition and then drop the party.

I definitely agree with that. Amash is only one guy though. To build a party, it would take a real foundation which the Libertarian Party doesn't do. If there was decent strategy on where they ran, they would easily beat Republicans.

Fair enough. He is still a politician. I have my doubts about him but i am content to give him some latitude. Who knows, i may be delightfully surprised.

I am saying dont build a party. Build a bunch of individuals who have bucked the system. Prove that it doesnt have to be done thru the two parties.

I would vote for her before any of the other wackadoos. At least she is serene and does not scream.
