I'm the wrong person to ask that, because I would. Haha. But why does it have to be rigatoni? Is that what it is at his restaurant? Lumachine, ballerine, Orecchiette or even penne all work better for me.

I wouldn't care, but it's kinda weird if I go to a restaurant and order Macaroni and cheese and that's not what it is.

I use penne and it works fine. I like Orecchiette, as well. Looks like little hats.

A couple of months ago my wife and I went to a great seafood restaurant in Lakewood Ranch called the Lucky Pelican. She ordered the scampi (fish, I believe)....but the scampi had nutmeg and quite a bit of crushed red pepper. It was a little too spicy for her but I thought it was very interesting. Does scampi normally have nutmeg or something similar in it?

Traditionally no on the nutmeg. It's one of those things like who in the US puts salt and pepper on their grits and who puts butter and sugar. Or what is the traditional BBQ sauce. There may be certain region(s) that do, but I know nothing about it.

Nutmeg was used in the original Alfredo sauce, just in case you didn't know.

It's just a running joke here about me with mac and cheese. I think the pasta itself is worthless and the Kraft mac and cheese in the box is crap. IMO.

I like ketchup on hushpuppies too. I've dipped my hushpuppies in my crab/lobster butter so I'm aight with butter on'um. Im not a fan of tarter, except on hushpuppies and fried catfish.

I don't think I could put ketchup in my molasses for my shrimp, but Im extremely happy others can!

Just got back from COSTCO. NY strips in da house!

Picked some jalepenos yesterday. So, grilled strips, jalepenos, sweet peppers, onions, and mushrooms with a baked sweet tater on da side. Tho, I'll have to wait a couple days for HBPW to work the into the menu.

Locals on the panhandle call a brown grouper, "scamp." It's delicious. The last time I had it served to me at a restaurant was decades ago. Demand for it was regional. It wasn't widely available or overfished back then.

I’m good. Lots of flooding here at the Pentagon and even more around Alexandria where I live. Doesn’t look inside DC fared any better but I’m never there.
