normally, i agree. but we weren't going to beat FL last year, no matter what. that it was as bad as it was had a lot more to do with us than them, though the end result wouldn't have likely changed had we not helped. just the margin.Maybe. I remember all the talk last off-season and they came into Neyland and skull****ed us on their way to a 10 win year.
Not saying that guarantees future success, I’d just prefer to handle our own business before throwing stones in our glass house.
if you're talking about directions of programs, it's hard not to look at what is going on at FL and not question it. likewise, we're coming off a 4 and 5 win season, we beat two top 20 teams last year and just reeled in a top 12 class despite all the dysfunction we've shown. at the very least, there's a notion now that in Knoxville the new boss is NOT the same as the old boss, and while we lack results to show for it, the direction at least appears headed in a positive direction.
if TN and FL were on a "futures" graph, i think the lines would pass each other, and the intersect point is probably around "now" lol.
hopefully anyway............
