Further on Florida, while their 2020 class is ranked 9th currently, its partly because they have 17 commits already. Of those 17, 9 are 4 stars and 8 are 3 stars. They've already had 7 decommitments from that class, 4 of which were 4 stars. They will probably finish this class around 12th if I were a betting man. Vols meanwhile have a major chance to get into the top 10. There's talk about Lawrence and Bailey being a 5 star as well so that would only improve the class. I bet Florida doesn't sign a single 5 star for the 2nd year in a row. Now is the time to turn this series around.

their class is at a point now where it could go either way. it's still high enough that if they get a few key additions, they could be fine.

if they don't, and theirs some more attrition to it possibly, and they under acheive this season..........could finsih outside the top 15.

long story short...i agree. we're at a point where we could go one way, they the other..........to our advantage for the first time in a loong time......get it while the gettin's good.

Maybe. I remember all the talk last off-season and they came into Neyland and skull****ed us on their way to a 10 win year.

Not saying that guarantees future success, I’d just prefer to handle our own business before throwing stones in our glass house.

It's long past time. If we are truly on the upward trajectory then Florida shouldn't be in our heads. That's a cultural problem. Pruitt is recruiting winners, guys who have competed and won at a high level out of high school. He isn't afraid of Florida and I don't think his players will be either. I've said it before and I'll say it again, under Richt, GA was afraid of Florida and even though they were far more talented than them, Florida dominated that series. Even after Smart took over a crappy Fl team beat them in year one. In year two though there was an obvious major change in culture and GA went in their and decimated Florida as they should have been doing all along. While we aren't as talented as GA, I expect to see that same type of culture change to where we aren't afraid of them and actually go in there believing we'll win. Pruitt had this problem with our team last year after the FL and AL game. He said that we didn't give effort you could tell that we played scared. That will change under him imo.

Nobody is throwing stones but you can see when a program is having problems and there is no way to spin it, Florida is having major problems right now. On last year, ok? They had 6 draft picks off that team. How many did we have again? They were a pretty good team last year with an experienced coach. They should have beaten us. But, I'll say this, had we not imploded and turned the ball over 8 times, mostly by our own doing, the game would have been much closer. They weren't THAT much better than us.

Pruitt will have Franks number this time around. They were handed a gift last season.
