Scratch. Spit. Practice swing. Scratch. Adjust glove. Negotiate pitch. Step out of the box. Practice swing. Adjust junk. Spit. Throw to first. Throw to first. Spit. Pitch.

Repeat.

Repeat.

Repeat.
What blows me away is the compensation. Could you even keep your job if you only got 25% of your decisions right? I can’t understand how 25% of hits when your up to bat is considered good and no remorse.

I can be honest now, at the rate the weight was leaving, we were discussing details for after I was gone.
Wasn't fun but I was also surprised how little it scared me. Just worried about my family so much, but almost no thoughts of myself. A little surprising.
It’s called being selfless. It’s a rare quality in today’s me first world. You are a Vol...I wouldn’t expect anything less. So happy to hear you are doing so well.

Well, ESPN may think that but the Vol beat writers (e.g., Rucker; the VQ guys, etc.) keep telling me how mediocre our defensive line is and that an injury to JG could be devastating. So, by my logic, I'm going to assume our DL struggles to stop the run and to sack the quarterback, and that JG comes out of a few games with minor injuries, and that keeps us closer to 6 wins than 9 wins. I still think we go bowling and that a solid season helps us land a top 10ish class that brings us a step closer to relevance.

I read Phil Steeles 2019 preview magazine and some notes on Tennessee...

7th toughest schedule

21st most experienced team (#2 in SEC)

OL - 23rd best
WR - 13th
LB - 12th
ST - 10th

He has QB, RB and DB’s all around 50th give or take a couple spots. Doesn’t have DL in top 50 which I assume is mostly due to no returning starters.

7th on Most improved team list

30th in his Power Poll which is basically his where he would rank teams not where he thinks they finish.

Vols finishing 4th in SECE behind UGA, UF and Mizzou.

Projects Tennessee vs Oklahoma State in Texas Bowl on 12/27.

Soccer is not boring either. There is almost always SOMETHING going on it in both. The down time in baseball is roughly equal to football, the plays are just more individual than 22 football players moving at once. Glory days have nothing to do with it.

Soccer is like paint drying.

Seriously i would literally watch Curling over watching a soccer match. Anyway, to each their own.
