I'm telling ya, it's the gubmint.

I was in a Subway many years ago in Macon, GA and the girl working there asked the customer what kind of cheese he wanted. He said, "What kind do you have?" She responded with, "We have American, Swiss, cheddar, provolone...." He replied, "You got any gubmint cheese?"

I lost it!
 
This a great vinegar sauce...similar to what Myron Mixon uses for pulled pork:

2 cups cider vinegar
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons blackstrap molasses
4 teaspoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1/4 - 1 teaspoon cayenne
1 to 2 teaspoons ground black pepper

I also like the dried peanut butters (like PB Fit). I mix a blackstrap molasses in it sometimes and it adds "something". Goes great with cut-up apples.
Nice!! That sounds amazing!! I'm not a huge fan of sugary stuff, so this is perfect! Might try it today on shrimp. 🙂
 
No, it's spearmint, the spearmint conspiracy to bring down and eliminate peppermint. It's insidious.

I'm not a fan of the sugary stuff either, unless it's got salt and heat.

Hey, nobody knows as well as we here in this thread know, everyone likes different stuff. That said, that doesn't sound good at all to me and especially on shrimp. I hope you try it so you can tell me how ketchup and molasses work together because I just can't see it.

I understand the "meh" feelings toward mac & cheese, but why such strong & hateful feelings for the pasta itself.

It's an exaggerated joke mostly, that I'm as guilty as everyone else in bringing it up.

But to answer why I dont like it. I just think its a kid pasta that serves no purpose. Tube pasta is made so sauces can ooze in to them an fill them, so it's like stuffed pasta. Macaroni is too small and the cheese is too thick. It's worthless.

Do you like Macaroni Alfredo or Macaroni and meatballs?

It’s art Behr. Joe works really hard on his macaroni art. He strives to rival Weezy’s award winning macaroni art. You can’t at least respect the art?

If he can't beat Weezys "award winning" art made from macaroni, then he's too far gone to know or care what I think.
