@Boca Vol

If you wanted to experiment with some of that Luxardo cherry syrup, I think it would be kinda orgasmic with a few other ingredients, in a BBQ sauce.

Yessir.

I make these brined/grilled pork chops and baste with this recipe. I'm sure some Luxardo cherry juice would amp it up quite nicely:

Baste
¼ cup Bourbon
¼ cup dried cherries, diced
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp Honey
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp fresh thyme

Love the Travelling Wilburys!

Going to the Rays/Yankees game at 1 this afternoon. Driving back to Sarasota to pick up my wife and drive back up to Tampa to see Jeff Lynne's ELO. Should be a fun day.

They are playing down here Tuesday. Thinking about going, but it is a school night.

Yep.

A cheap bourbon with a bite.
Dried cherries. Perfect.
Brown sugar. Half that (for me)and dark
Honey. yes
Butter. Salted and yes
Olive oil. Doesn't matter.
Thyme. Oh yes.
1/4 cup Luxardo cherry syrup
3 finger pinch of crushed red pepper

That's just my opinion based on what I would like and how I would start. I'd probably end up with another source of heat like a fresh pepper of some sort, but the crushed red might be perfect. Might try some blackstrap molasses like Volly likes to use instead of the honey.

The dried cherries is a perfect addition. Nice.

Thanks for the tips. I love blackstrap molasses in sauces.

With this recipe you put the baste in a baste pan on a cool part of the grill and shuttle the chops back and forth coating them and back the fire. It is very good.

Youre welcome, but I did that so I'd have a reference to go back to next week. Lol. I'm not at home right now so I can't write it down. :)

I also just thought of a dash of liquid smoke too. Obviously it wouldn't be needed on smoked items, but that sauce with some liquid smoke and a little kaffir lime leaf on a nice salmon filet is something definitely worth talking about. IMO.

So you're the one i need to talk to about using blackstrap. Tell me more.

Ypu didn't like her love scenes?! The ending was stupid, I didn't wanna ruin it.

I only remember one love scene and meh.

Obviously you couldn't know this but you do now, I would have been thankful if you had told me the ending was stupid and sucked. I'm not a "spoiler crybaby". I mean, don't tell me Spacey was Kizer Sose if I haven't seen Usual Suspects, but you'd been doing me a service on Serenity.

This a great vinegar sauce...similar to what Myron Mixon uses for pulled pork:

2 cups cider vinegar
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons blackstrap molasses
4 teaspoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon hot sauce
1/4 - 1 teaspoon cayenne
1 to 2 teaspoons ground black pepper

I also like the dried peanut butters (like PB Fit). I mix a blackstrap molasses in it sometimes and it adds "something". Goes great with cut-up apples.
