Correct. And they did - at the very least - weekly tests to monitor the clots. When they found issues, they pulled him out last year.

The danger is in taking him off the medication, obviously. They’ve mitigated the risk a ton.

Like I said, this is up to Trey and UT has done everything they can to support him.
He'll be off medication for a long while before they let him even think about practice. They need to make sure he doesn't develop the clots without physical contact before letting he do anything with pads on

From what I remember when we were talking about this last year, what you’re describing is the difference between finding one blood clot vs. treating reoccurring blood clots.
Might be. If someone familiar with doesn't drop in soon, I'll try to look up as much as I can, later. Honestly curious now.

Uhhh that’s why he hasn’t had any contact. He will be back Day one of fall practice.

My experience... After the first blood clots I was on thinners for a little while. After the second ones they said I would have to stay on them for life. Which is why I was so curious when it was reported that he might be taken off of them when he had also had them twice. I was told repeatedly that not only was I ridiculous but the reports were also for thinking there might be some new way to deal with it or at least monitor the situation. I'm still extremely curious about how this will work.

ESPN has now published their FPI's preseason projection for the winning % for each of our games this year.

Mizzou is essentially a toss-up according to the FPI. I am so tired of struggling against them. But, that program is a decent model of what you get when you have good coaching and an established system.

I feel the same way. But they get one key break that we don’t. Most teams in the SEC hate us and want to beat us. I don’t think schools get as passionate about playing Mizzou. So we usually get people’s best performances while Mizzou gets their B or C performance. Florida in particular has completely rolled over a few times in their games against Mizzou in recent years. Frankly we have too against them...

Florida has been absolutely stomped by some mediocre Mizzou teams. It's bizarre.
