This may be all-time looney tunes bad. I mean, bandwagon does not even begin to describe it. He cannot even legitimately claim to be a real sports fan.

He forgot to mention that he's a Vandy baseball fan, UConn women's basketball fan, Manchester United fan, Brooks Koepka fan, and he has a three-way tie for favorite tennis player among Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic.

I love how NBA fans have just gotten to the airplane tracking level. They need some Vol fans to give some veteran advice. Lovie's still hovering out there in the hereafter just waiting to land at Tyson McGee.

Swan Man on Volquest says Trey Smith WILL be cleared. He actually has real inside info from time to time. I sure hope he is right. He a bad man says John Coffey from the Green Mile.

I’m happy for Trey if so, I’m just not sure this is viable strategy for him or the university.

I know Trey wants to play - and he’s talented enough to play in the NFL so there’s a financial aspect to this.

I just hate risking the young man’s life - and I think last year proved they can’t do this halfway. If they’re going to let him play, he has to practice at full-tilt.

Not even close to a doctor but from every article that I've read -

There is absolutely no extra risk to Trey from playing football. The clots are either present or they're not. When they are, he's placed on bloodthinners and therefore can't risk any contact that could cause internal bleeding.

But as soon as they are gone, they remove him from the medication, football or not. When he is not on bloodthinners, he's no different than the other guys 'cept for monitoring. Don't believe they would ever risk a life above whatever danger fb already holds.

Correct. And they did - at the very least - weekly tests to monitor the clots. When they found issues, they pulled him out last year.

The danger is in taking him off the medication, obviously. They’ve mitigated the risk a ton.

Like I said, this is up to Trey and UT has done everything they can to support him.

Surely they would not allow it if it was risking his life no matter how badly he wanted to play or how many millions were at stake.

Hopefully one of the VN doctors or patients is reading and can confirm the following.

I believe Physicians try to remove patients from blood thinners as quickly as possible regardless. Not just for fb but I thought it was posted being on them is considered a large risk in general.
But I would feel better if someone could confirm.

From what I remember when we were talking about this last year, what you’re describing is the difference between finding one blood clot vs. treating reoccurring blood clots.
