I believe there is a la quinta inn right outside of downtown that is somewhat newer, it should be on Union Ave. If not, there are 7-8 different options downtown and that's only a 7-8 minute Uber drive to Minglewood from there. The Peabody hotel is always a really cool option for out of towners looking for a fun experience, but be warned it is a bit more pricey than some other options.

Just stay in Germantown on the Memphis limit border.

Just stay in Germantown.

Don't stay in Germantown unless you wanna deal with hella traffic and a 30-40 minute drive to midtown where Minglewood is. I've lived downtown for 3 years and it's just as safe as Germantown is these days, and alot more convenient when getting around inside the "loop" of Memphis
