For all intents and purposes, TN lost

A win is a win but this game did nothing to help Mr. Fulmer's cause.

If NIU's starting QB played the second half, we would be 1-4. That's a fact.

. . .it all depends whether you are a "cup is half full" person or the "cup is half empty" person. With all due respect, there are a lot of the latter on this board!

I'm just not sure the other guy was a world beater either.
Well, I can't say that for certain, no. But I'm still having flashbacks of Joe Montana in the second half of that UCLA game.

I find that the way one views his cup depends largely on whether it is being filled or poured out. When you remember having an overflowing chalice, half-empty isn't so satisfying.

I'll second that and yes I will go that far. NI offense owned the first half and once again Chavis was caught off guard. Granted the defense did a good job but we cannot rely on starting QB's to be knocked out of the game. Their 2nd QB is strictly a running style one and the 3rd is a RSF who has thrown two passes all season.

Obviously the scoreboard has no bearing on this argument.

. . . and why was he knocked out of the game?

Apparently re-injured a shoulder he got back in August. He left the game with 6 min left in the 2nd quarter. Scored tied and he was 10 of 15 for 83yds. But that's not all. He's the original "2nd" string QB. Their 1st string QB went down in the 2nd game due to a ankle spring. Grady, the 3rd string RSF, was forced into action and played more in that game than all season.

By the way our offensive line on the average out weighed the Huskies defensive line by an average of 43 lbs

Somebody got pizzed and threw a couple of dozen eggs at Fulmer's house after the game. Only three hit it so the cops suspect Crompton.
