Trooper Taylor

They love the man out here. I can't speak to what TT actually does and doesn't do within the offense of Oklahoma State, some in this thread seem to know convincingly and how they came by this info is a mystery to me. I'll say this...it's pretty darn clear he wasn't part of the problem.

But he didn't mention him calling any plays either...

As dan4Vols stated just before this post...he wasn't aware that it was widely announced that Gundy took over offensive play calling. His quoted post didn't state that explicitly...but I inferred that was what he meant...which was confirmed in his last post just before mine.....I'm sorry if you couldn't tell that was what he meant. As for a source...I would suggest you just perform a VolNation search...it was posted here....probably multiple times.

I'm not trying to argue TT is calling plays. He might be calling some, advising Gundy on some, I don't know. He might just be titled co-o coordinator in title only and just coaches WR's and calls no plays at all. I missed the official announcement of what the situation was, even in the article though you never know what goes on behind the scenes despite what the article says.

In all the sniping back and forth, I think you made the best point of the thread . . . that it's pretty apparent that Trooper wasn't part of the problem in Knoxville.

And I made a poor attempt at trying to say this by saying he is probably happy he is not in this situation and all the people who were saying he would do nothing at Okie St. At this point appear to be wrong.

I will let it be known that I believe if Trooper were here we'd still be in the same situation...I was never trying to imply otherwise...

I'm off to bed for tonight...I'll check back tomorrow to see if I was completely missing something (which, I suppose it quite possible).

I'll agree with this...he certainly wasn't part of our problem. Or...at least I don't think so.

I was unsure why you quoted me.

Because you asked me where he had stated that TT wasn't calling the plays....and I referenced his post where he said he wasn't going to comment on what TT was or was not doing...implying he didn't know. He admitted as much later, which is OK..I'm not attacking him for that...if you go back to my original post...I wasn't saying you said TT was calling the plays...I was just informing him that Gundy announed he was going to be calling the plays, not TT (as the article that GaVol posted explained).

No big deal. I just hate vol fans going at eachother for no reason...

The man was a very good position coach, imo....but he was playing his kids against his bosses in an attempt to better his career .... i don't wish him failure, but failure wouldn't shock me. and i'm bitter. :)

what do u mean he was playing his kids against his bosses?? please explain.........:eek:k:

honestly, i bet trooper cares a lot more about taking care of his own business and furthering his own job than about what's happening at tennessee

I'm going to see the MU-Okie St game next week and will be adamantly cheering against Trooper. He isn't what this team is missing.

Also, I can't freaking believe I missed Anne Hathaway on SNL tonight...damnit!
