I have to be honest, pulling out the "China and Russia support this" trope made me laugh given a key Democratic cry is always "cut military funding". I guarantee both endorse that as well.

By the end that was the random thing she stuck to. Her charge on his race relations completely discredits everything he has not just stood for but done because he tried to reach across the isle to achieve a common goal. She implied working with other members is only possible if you entirely share beliefs. We sit here day in and day out complaining about partisanship and here she is pounding the table against bipartisanship. She is part of the problem with Washington and I find it equally hilarious that she, as a sitting member, called Congress too gutless to do anything. Shes a hyperbolic clown for that.

The waste in the military funding should definitely be cut. Building tanks the pentagon doesn’t want isn’t being strong on defense, it’s socialism. We also don’t need such a strong military presence in as many countries as we currently have. But these deals with Japan/Korea/etc are a good thing.

Partly, but it’s just a political calculation. Like Obama pretending he was against gay marriage in 2008 or Republicans pretending to care about drug use. Both sides are definitely afraid to say anything that may scare the base.
