All Grumor-humor aside, I suspect at this point it's likely VT. He is looking for a one-year gig to springboard to the NBA. And if he feels he can do it at Hokie High School, why not stay? ESPN has a history of hyping VT to the moon (they tried to create a 'legacy' and 'tradition' for the football program from scratch back during the Vick days), so he would get plenty of love from them. His girlfriend is there. It just makes sense.

He may very well stay at VT, but it won't be for the hype he'd get there. VT basketball does not get more hype than UT - that's silly.

If he stays there it's because there's familiarity with them, doesn't want to leave his gf, he enjoys being there, or he just didn't come across another school that felt more like home to him (for a year) than VT does.

I hope he comes to UT because he's a really good player and makes other players around him better, but a decision needs to be made soon for everyone's sake.

Blacksburg isn't really that far from Knoxville in regards to the gf thing. BasketVols just had 3 draft picks, I'd say thats a pretty good springboard (especially considering their rankings coming out of HS).

I mean, I'm all for being methodical and ensuring you don't rush a big decision, but at some point you just have to make a decision. You can only mull something over for so long before you start second guessing every decision you come to, and at that point your just in an endless cycle where it's nearly impossible to make a decision....I guess that might be the point we've come to.

He is only going to be on campus for several months. Pick somewhere and go.

I wondered that to myself earlier, but not sure why that would really be necessarily or why it would be as dead quiet as it is...if that was the case you’d think VQ would be acting like there’s optimism and that he’s shut off contact with other schools.

Exactly. I don't buy the "waiting for a spot to open" theory. There is nothing barring KBJ from verbally committing to the school before a spot opens. And as you said, it's eerily quiet on the media front. That theory wouldn't make sense. If Barnes & Company new he was coming, I'm sure the media would have something to report.

True. But I find it hard to believe that he would ever really take “visits” if he really wants to stay at VT.

I do think it’s UT/VT/UF, I think UK and Ark are out...other than that idk $h!t. I have a hard time seeing VT considering everything, so gun to head I would say it’s UF/UT, but that’s JMO.

UF - closer to family
VT - closer to friends
UT - in between, but can specifically work on basketball skills
