Toss your name in the NBA pool, withdraw it then jump into the transfer pool. Have some fun being recruited all over again only to stay put at Tech. Seems like something that could only happen in a UT recruiting saga. Won't be the least bit surprised it this is exactly how it plays out.

Rob generally has great info, I just don't think he's plugged in here (that goes for pretty much all reporters on this one). KB has always kept the option of returning to VT on the table. Familiarity with players, access to his grad program, and being "the guy". Young has recruited well since he got that job, not only landing some key 2019 kids, but also keeping a few on the roster that had planned to enter the portal. Are they as talented as UT or UK? Not close, but could still be a tourney team with KB. We also don't know how exactly he's weighing each of his key factors.

Well idk about that, I would say that Barnes and staff talk daily with Blackshear so they’re about as close to the horses mouth as you can get, now whether or not they relay the exact truth to Lewis is a completely different question.

I think Daniels is getting his info from someone very close to Blackshear, either a family member or a former coach that may be involved in his recruitment.

Yeah I just I mean they don’t know who he’s going to pick. There’s no insider out there outside of his family who actually knows where he leans

Eh...most of the time the staff has a pretty good idea if they are in it or not, not necessarily that they know where he’s going but I think Tennessee staff probably has a good idea of who it’s between.

Probably my biggest Lewis pet peeve is the constant hinting that Rick is his source.

Ex. "And I'd like to think that my source on this is uh, fairly primary."
