That Jordan bone video is the best draft video i have ever seen... the depressing build up and then the “sht!” That sets it off
Man that is just such a great video! I really hope ppl understand how much sweat and tears these young put in to have this opportunity. I’m happy for him.

Man, Grant was really a beast. I am seeing "rival" SEC fans blasting him on the Boston Celtics Twitter feed...it's pretty sad and hilarious.

All these Vandy & Kentucky fans who don't even watch NBA ball on there giving expert opinions about how bad the Celtics messed up. I hope he has a ridiculous career, be awesome if he managed a title even.

That’s a good situation for him. Brad Stevens is a great coach for him too. I think he will use him well.

The only downside for Grant, which would have been the same for any team he went to, is who is he going to play Catan with now?

Brad Stevens on Grant:

Stevens raved about what the Celtics have in Williams, a 6-foot-8, 240-pound power forward who spent three years at the University of Tennessee and earned SEC Player of the Year honors twice. What stands out most about Williams is his high-IQ that should serve the Celtics well.

“I look at (Williams) as a guy with a point guard’s mind,” Stevens said. “You can run offense through him at the elbows, on the block, at the top of the key. He thinks the game. He’s a tough, tough, guy and he’s a versatile player who can shoot the ball. Didn’t shoot it as much from three. They didn’t need him to do it, but his shot looks good. We think that’ll be a pretty easy transition for him. Very intelligent. … You couldn’t be more impressed with a kid when you sit down with him.”

A lot of times in drafts and recruiting people get so caught up in potiental that they overlook production. There are people out there that are just ballers that go out and get the job done against whoever you match them up against. I believe Grant William's is one of those guys.

a lot of Grant's success in the NBA will be dicated by match ups. he's over acheiving at the college level as an inside guy, which doesn't translate to being uber successfull in the NBA as an inside guy. in spurts, he can/will. and he has the strength to give you something inside.

but he has to be consistent shooting the ball mid range and at the 3 if he's going to be a match up problem for opponents. that doesn't mean he has to be a sharp shooter, but those elbow jumpers that became automatic in college, he needs to develop that same consistency elsewhere on the court.

he does that, it'll help his, and the celtics, inside game overall. the best thing he has going for him is he's physical and versatile, and has already proved he can score.

i think he's gonna be a good pro and probably have a fairly long career. and early on, he's probably in a good spot with a good fit for a coach.

really excited for all three of our baskeball vfl's. awesome night last night for UT bball.
