Awesome! 3 VOLS picked in the NBA draft! Unbelievable! I'm proud of all of them.

So, first time ever, 3 Vols are drafted in the NBA in the same year ?

Probably. Almost did it in 1977 with Ernie and Bernie while Mike Jackson was All-SEC twice.

Don't know if Danny Schultz and Red Robbins were drafted or even in the same class with Boerwinkle.

Edit: AW Davis, Boerwinkle, Schultz, Robbins, Howard Bain, and Ron Widby all played on early Mears teams but were different classes and weren't all necessarily drafted. Robbins was a pretty good player in the ABA and Widby played in the NFL (Dallas?).

Saw someone say it was the first time 3 Vols went in the first 2 rounds. Before 1989 there were more than just 2 rounds.

Yea, Mike Jackson apparently didn't play but could have been drafted when there were many rounds. Ernie and Bernie went in the 1st 11 picks in 1977.

Yes, my fellow Fulton alum, Widby punted for Dallas. Whether or not Widby was drafted by Dallas, I have no idea
