Exactly. Don't make me break out the Latin for ceiling again though.7-5. 6-6 would be disappointing, but not an indictment....unless the "how" we arrive at that record looks like it is. picking a # right now doesn't mean a whole lot. we do this every year and everyone draws lines in the sand on the "record", and hten you see it happen, how it happens and.........opinions change. the same will happen this year.
it's year 2. we return a lot of kids from the last two years, we've added some real talent in this freshmen class. year 2 in s&c, upgrades at DC, OC..........it's fair to expect improvement, and a 2 game swing over last year, would be a good floor to work from.
and the schedule is a little lighter than it has been the last two years.
can't have the devestating injuries. and we have to be better on both lines of scrimmage. we don't have to be world beaters. we just have to be better than we have been. do that and you're probably going to be competitive in 10 or 11 of the games on the schedule. and we should win more than we lose. 2nd half of the season is where it's at.
the rankings, yes...Have they released the projections for this year yet?
Yeah, but that's a dry heat. I bet 99 in middle TN with all this humidity in the middle of August feels hotter. Was in Rancho Mirage CA on a hot June day a few years ago, had to screenshot my weather app to memorialize it:

Thanks. So we're gonna win the natty then if my orange glasses read that right.the rankings, yes...
Clemson tops Alabama again -- in FPI rankings
i don't really disagree.Well it really shouldn't be public.
Honestly i get kind of tired by all this secretive stuff by college football these days... The NFL releases their full injury report every week, i don't see why colleges can't do the same. Yes, i know they're not professionals but still. The SEC is essentially a mini NFL at this point anyways, i'd like to see weekly injury reports and that would prevent all the conjecture and speculation done by all the media types/message boards.Well it really shouldn't be public.
Oh, did not realize they had AL also. They have AL plus Clemson. They also have Texas A&M whereas we have Miss State. Their schedule is one of the worst I’ve seen. In October they play Florida and Georgia in back-to-back weeks and then head up to Knoxville. I’m certain their fans see the game against us as winnable but it sits in a bad spot on their schedule. We will be coming off a 59-14 road loss to our “rival” AL but they will have been pounded pretty hard too...
I have no idea how this personal health was made public if it was done without his permission. HIPAA law prohibits such information to be disclosed.Honestly i get kind of tired by all this secretive stuff by college football these days... Pros have that written in their contract. College students don't and shouldn'tHonestly i get kind of tired by all this secretive stuff by college football these days... NFL is secretive too, but the in season weekly reports have a purpose. They don't do that in the offseason. And especially for something that doesn't appear to affect his availability for fall camp. I realize I'm on a board where you find out every little detail and rumor about the team. But I still think we know too much. We don't need all this info. Especially medical stuff that is supposed to be protected by Hippa. I do realize that a lot of times they have to release info because some fans can't handle not speculating every horrible scenario under the sun. And creating stories where there really is none. This JJ example where the story is he had a knee injury training, had it evaluated and is expected to be fully recovered by fall camp. Shouldn't even be a story but they put the headline out there and ole jacky b immediately latches onto it to push his 6 wins narrative. If he's not even gonna miss camp, it probably won't affect our win loss record. We don't really need to know about it. 20 years ago we probably never would've known. And we were actually good back then. hahaHonestly i get kind of tired by all this secretive stuff by college football these days...
