How do Vandy fans sit through a game with that idiot whistling all of the time. If I bought season tickets and found I was within a 100 ft of him, I would demand my money back. Worse yet, he travels with them.

It's unusual for Vanderbilt to have any fans at all:D

I believe feathersax got a dose of this meathead at the SEC tourney. That would drive me nuts.

The Tennessee vs Vanderbilt game should tell fans of both teams that fan attendance and interaction has little effect on the outcome of the game.

****ing Vanderbilt has beat Tennessee 3 straight and 5 out of 7.

Q: What’s the bar to know if your favorite team sucks?

A: Do you lose to ****ing Vanderbilt?

Article in today's Tennessean reports that one of the whistlers (there are 2) was told by stadium officials in Omaha to can it or be ejected. Will be interesting to see what happens when they play tonight.

From the title I thought this was gonna be a thread about Clay Travis

Everyone hated CT because he continually said Dooley was trash and James Franklin was a terrific coach. No one wanted to accept either fact at the time.

We can all stop hating him now, he was right.

I actually really like his show. Plus he hated Butch, he wanted him fired after 2016. Right again.

I was just cracking a joke at CT expense. Right or not though, he's quite annoying.

First of all, the last part is not true at all. Lots of us knew Dooley was garbage and knew Franklin was at the least a much better coach than Dooley. That had absolutely nothing to do with Franklin being a tool, which is why many didn't like him.

And second, Travis gets hate because of how much of a douche he was about it. He actually started trash talking UT and bragging about VU. He made fun of UT for buying out the UNC series and tweeted out how we needed to buyout the Vandy games too. He trash talked UT all week of Franklin's first UT game and went on about how badly VU would destroy UT. And after UT won, he then just stated how pathetic it was UT was celebrating so much for "just beating VU". Typical weasel Clay Travis crap.

As far as Butch, are you seriously giving him credit for wanting Butch gone after 2016? At least half of this site wanted the same thing and many here were talking about Butch wouldn't work out well before then.

I'm no lawyer, but I think he's 100% wrong. They CAN throw you out for it. You don't have a right to do whatever you want just because you buy a ticket. I saw another quote where he said his lawyer told him if they throw him out, they'll sue. Yeah good luck with that.

I agree. There’s a point where fans go too far. Whether it’s how they heckle or how they’re perceived by other fans. I don’t think he’d win in court.

It also kind of just gets down to this guy mostly seems to be a d-bag about it. I'm all for personal freedoms and expression and all, but that has a limit. And this just seems like he wants to do what he wants and doesn't really care about how anyone else feels. It's a strange hill to die on.

Basically, stop acting like a victim, you're bringing this all on yourself.

Would this change if it were a kid doing something at the game?

If it were a kid, I'm sure some adult(s) would tell the kid to shut up, and if the kid starting going on about how they couldn't make them stop/they have the right to do it/etc then the story would be about how disrespectful the kid is is being and how entitled the youth of today is.

So last night I was at a minor league game and this kid who I estimate to have been around 8 years old would scream ā€œbig stick, big stick!ā€ before every pitch to the home team, and ā€œno stick, no stick!ā€ for the away team. Sometimes multiple times before each pitch. (Side note, rookie league pitchers throw a lot of balls). I found it annoying, and several other fans kept giving menacing looks his dad’s way, but no one ever said anything. I couldn’t bring myself to say something because I wasn’t going to diminish a kid’s passion for the game.

I would have kicked the kid in the jimmy, and then fought his dad after.
