I actually have not tried it, but I'm not so close minded that I won't. 😜. It isn't as orb describes it though, it's a mixture of cheeses (one being cream cheese) and layered with the noodles and sauce

Me too...I'm also a fan of a lot of cheese...so add in another cheese or 10, I'm good! 😅
When my great-grandmother died (she lived with us and I called her Nanny, it was very hard losing her), a co-worker of my mom's brought over this thing that was hamburger meat, green onions, white stuff (cream cheese, sour cream, etc ??), and noodles. I don't remember what else was in it, but I've never been able to recreate it. It was one of the best things I've ever had.

I love cheese but this was just bland. I tried it because I try everything that I put out, there could be a better recipe, but this one was a hard pass.

Sounds like almost a ground beef stroganoff. I haven't had stroganoff in forever! Makes me want to try to make that.

Yes, like a baked spaghetti/lasagna combo.

place half of the cooked spaghetti in the bottom of the dish. Spread cream cheese mixture over noodles. Top with remaining noodles. Pour meat sauce over noodles and top with mozzarella cheese

Sounds very similar. Should try mozzarella next time, probably will help.
